Columbus vs Toronto
- I didn't like Toronto's defense last week and then they go and trade away their best backline player, Marvel Wynne, for a midfielder and a draft pick? Preki looks to be throwing his ego around as they've now dropped their two best defenders, most talented forward, and most consistent MF since his arrival, not to mention allowing guevara to leave. What was supposed to be a playoff year is now looking like a rebuilding one which is not good when you have Columbus away to start the year. Columbus have the advantage of playing two Concacaf CL games vs Toluca and will, no doubt, be the most prepared team in MLS early on. Their young striker, Lenhart, has a real shot at the golden boot, and their midfield is stocked with talent. The backline is a question mark but TFC only have two good offenisve players right now, DeRosario and DeGuzman, as a White/Ibrahim attacking partnership may be MLS' worst. The back 4 of Brennan/Garcia/Harden/Attakora should get chewed up by the Crew's very talented attack and I wouldn't be surprised if TFC were down to 10 men by HT as they will be under constant pressure. Teams have met 10 times and Toronto have never won. Make it 11 ... play against TFC now because when Preki gets them straightened out they will not be easy to beat. Today should be different though
