They should just cancel the MLB season.

We should all just embrace the Korean Baseball (KBO)

I've read reports that they have already agreed to that. It would seem an easy choice: Two-thirds
of an average salary of $5 - $7 Million? Or nothing? I know which one I'd choose.

No they have not

Getting most of your salary >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> NOTHING, not sure why that's really a discussion

For players to walk away from this season over salary demands will be an extremely unpopular position with America's baseball fans. A position they'll get crucified for

So much so, it's a position that may ruin their careers, and will absolutely end the careers of some

Player pay from the first negotiation runs out May 31. It's all posturing until then.

I have heard that the players union is kept in the dark about team finances. When the owners say they will take a bath on this season, the players don't believe it. Not sure why they wouldn't believe it, but there is such a mistrust between the 2 sides its unreal. Kind of like democrats and republicans.

Players dead set against salary cap, and 50/50 revenue split is a salary cap called by a different name. Under the current circumstances, not sure why players wouldn't agree to one season like this. Players believe that they are at risk. I don't see it that way, but not for me to judge others feelings and thoughts.

If in some way there is agreement and baseball happens, I wouldn't be surprised to see many players simply not play. Especially players that have large salaries. They are probably set up better financially and can afford not to play. So, even if baseball plays, I believe it will be a watered down version of MLB. NHL and NBA don't have this issue, since salary cap and revenue share are already a part of their deal.

All this said, MLB doesn't play or plays without certain stars, it will be the demise of the game.

The players have been sitting at home collecting millions of dollars.

Would one year of a 50/50 split really threatened these guys.

Hell, this is not even going to be a full season.

Your source? I'm not saying you're wrong; I read my "facts" in a newspaper article.

What have you seen that contradicts that?

What the players agreed to in March is not what the owners are proposing now .

The agreement in March was a prorated salary based on how long the season is .

What the owners want now is not that . They want revenue sharing .

I mean I guess I could post a link but what I’m saying is hard to miss .

Its the only thing people are talking about right now when it comes to this subject .

I just reread this thread .

You asked for a link.

Well just read the story again that you posted on page 1 of this thread.

Read it close .

In March the players agreed to pro rated salary .

But the owners are NOT proposing that .

And then read my original post .

I said unless the players agree to less then prorated salary there will not be a season.

And so far they have not .
