How about just have a 30 team tournament? Astros and Nationals get a bye for the first round. 7 game playoffs until there is a champion. Home field doesn't matter much so they can be seeded by last years records. Think of how interesting it would be to have any team actually have a chance to win because it is so early on. I know it won't happen because of the financial aspect. Would be cool as fuck though
