If your betting 5% each play you should reduce it. If your betting 5 dollar on each play then that depends on your bankroll. I don't know what do you mean on reducing the 5.

I've read in a sportsbetting book that it's not a good idea to change the money management in the middle of a season, couse you can never know.

With my money management system you have a 1 to 4,000,000 chance to lose your whole bankroll and that's really small, but if you drop your units to 1% and 2% your chances of losing everything will significantly drop.
