Cozart left Monday's series opener against the Cubs after experiencing tightness in his lower right quad. He's considered day-to-day. Ivan DeJesus Jr. is starting at shortstop Wednesday versus Cubs right-hander John Lackey and Billy Hamilton will hit leadoff.

Tucker Barnhart will start at catcher and bat eighth versus Cubs right-hander John Lackey. Mesoraco is 2-for-19 (.105) with zero homers and zero RBI this season.

Steven Souza is not in the Rays' starting lineup Wednesday night against the Indians.

Brandon Guyer will start in right field and bat seventh versus Indians right-hander Carlos Carrasco. Souza, a right-handed hitter, is slashing .333/.360/.750 with three home runs and five RBI in seven games this year.

Buster Posey (foot) could sit out again Wednesday.

Posey missed Tuesday's game against the Rockies with a bruised foot and his backup, Trevor Brown, slugged two home runs. Brown may start again Wednesday, though Posey is planning to test the foot in pregame workouts.

Adam Jones (oblique) is out of the Orioles' starting lineup again on Wednesday night.

Joey Rickard is starting in center field and batting leadoff versus Red Sox right-hander Joe Kelly. Hyun-soo Kim will get the nod in left field and bat ninth. Jones remains day-to-day with discomfort in his oblique. He has appeared as a defensive replacement the last two games, so a full return should be close.

Brian McCann is day-to-day with a bruised foot.

McCann made an early exit from Tuesday's defeat of the Blue Jays after getting struck in the foot by a hard foul tip, but tests taken at Rogers Centre showed no fractures. He'll sit Wednesday against the Jays but shouldn't be out much longer. Austin Romine will fill in. McCann homered Wednesday and is batting .500 (9-for-18) to open the 2016 season.

Howie Kendrick will play left field and hit seventh in Wednesday's contest with the Diamondbacks.

Well that is interesting. Kendrick has made just 20 outfield starts in his career -- all of which came during his time with the Angels. Seventh also marks the lowest he has hit in a lineup since April 6, 2014. He was hitting fifth on Tuesday. The veteran infielder was sidelined by a calf injury through the first week of the season but can be deployed as normal in fantasy lineups moving forward.
