RECAP
Buffalo Bills +5: The only reason I didn't pound away on this play is because I have homer intentions and that can't be a bit misleading. Having said that, I knew the Bills would win or keep it close and we are running out of time before oddsmakers catch onto this team and the spreads get out of hand. The Bills were in control most of the game and I feel I did a great capping job on this one. Covering 90% of the time, then Jacksonville had an expected surge and took the cover but the Bills fought back and won the game as a straight up underdog.
Minnesota Vikings +1: I watched most of this game and was never satisfied with the Vikings 15-0 lead for 70% of the game. Again I feel I did a good capping job because I predicted AP would run all over the Colts and he did but he never reached the endzone and that was the reason for my loss. This was a game I should be calling a winner this morning but crap happens, the public won their money and everyone is happy. This only sets things up for a big play on the Vikings in the next few weeks because they are a decent team stuck with some bad offensive decision making. I am happy even though I lost. Could have gone either way. Difference was that punt downing by the Colts on the second last drive of the game (1 yard line wow).
Denver Broncos -1: This is a tough one but I'll take it. Denver looked to be in control for the most part of this game but their horrendous defense was exposed and things went sour in the second half. At one point I was hoping to make it to overtime and take the 50/50 chance on a win or a loss but it didn't take long for me to just want this thing to end. I missed a couple of key points in this game and had it not been for a blown call by the refs I would be in the gutter with my money right now. Denver was a bad choice, lesson well learned on this team and backing their defense against an 0-1 Chargers team was a mistake to begin with. I got lucky but was greedy here so I will take the push.
Pittsburgh Steelers -6: Very frustrating game to watch because the Steelers had complete control, could not make plays on 3rd down and I had to listen to both Madden and Michaels go nuts on every play because they had both had Cleveland plus the points. I mean wtf was Cleveland thinking at the end there? 3 minutes on the clock, you are down by 7 points and there is a 99% chance you are not getting the ball back against Willie Parker and the Steelers offense. So the Browns go for the FG instead? You still need a touchdown you morons. Madden said it was the right call. Football wise, I disagree. Betting wise for Michael and Madden, I would agree it was the right call since they both had Cleveland. Then the Steelers go down, could kick an ATS covering FG with :30 on the clock but they go for it instead because they 'don't want it blocked'. Oh well what can you do? I felt I had this one right, weather was a factor. Rough ending to a rough weekend with a lot of bad luck in college and the nfl.
Tonight will make or break my week, GOOD LUCK TO ALL! GO COWBOYS!
