I don't watch the news at all anymore, only sports and my shows, so forgive me if I'm getting this wrong.
Someone painted swazi's with their own shit, school does nothing, players protest, and you guys want to make the story about the players and coaches being scum here? If one of my kids painted swazis with his shit at school, I'd have his ass far more than anything these players are doing. Maybe some of these college kids don't think the rules of civilization apply to them. Though maybe I can't relate because I didn't go to college. I do know that had I done this in the military as 17 year old kid, there would be consequences. Hell if I worked at Mcdonalds and painted swazi's with my shit in the break room and Mike B didn't fire me, he'd be out of a management job.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they have an idea who the perpetrator of the shitty swastika is. So, they are protesting because an anonymous person did something.
All I know is what I read here so I don't know any of that, whether there was non investigation, or if it was handled as kids being kids, this is non story for me and why I don't watch the news. College kids not playing football just isn't a big deal to me. As a parent would you be more disappointed in your kid if he didn't play a game out of protest, or if he painted swazis with his shit?
Isn't the Swastika an anti-semitic symbol, representing a hatred of Jews? Guess they skipped history class.
Erm nope bud...
The Swastika (also known as the gammadion cross, cross cramponnée, or wanzi) (as a character: 卐 or 卍) is a symbolthat generally takes the form of an equilateral cross, with its four legs bent at 90 degrees.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP] It is considered to be a sacred and auspicious symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.[SUP][3][/SUP]
It has been used as a decorative element in various cultures since at least the Neolithic, and is found on a man's tunic depicted in a Roman mosaic at the Villa Romana del Casale in Sicily. It also appears on a mosaic floor at the Lullingstone Roman Villa in Kent, England. It is known most widely as an important symbol long used in Indian religions, denoting "auspiciousness." It was adopted as such in pre-World War I-Europe and later, and most notably, by the Nazi Party and Nazi Germany prior to World War II. In many Western countries, the swastika has been highly stigmatized because of its use in and association with Nazism.[SUP][4][/SUP] It continues to be commonly used as a religious symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism.[SUP][3][/SUP]
Unless like Illini says there is more to the story then what's being reported. If I was the president I would have told the clown to starve
