their O-line was quite Vandy-like or maybe more like Eastern Michigan-like

funny i'm reading lindy's today and see that iowa state unexpectedly lost some starters on DLine in the off-season.....

seems like DLine is the one place where a team can't hide. even a terrible OLINE can be somewhat schemed around. but the offense dictates the plays so they can go after a weak part of the DLINE time after time.

seems like almost all other functional areas can be patched up but if you don't have the beef on DLine you are screwed. see hawaii 2 years ago against BYU on thursday night. ran out of DT's and it was like a touch football game.

Yeah i liked vandy all summer b/c of their success against ole miss but after that showing last week i couldnt bet this game even if i had L-10's crazy check (which i think came today thank god).

i generally avoid teams like vandy when they are overachieving (i.e. i have NO PLAY on most of their games)... and then play them for reversion to mean at some point, i did last week (new season AND new coach). surprised it worked so well so fast.... now, for all my losses
