you'll be getting a depleted villa...no way all these guys make it this weekend

Christian Benteke heads a lengthy injury list for Villa

Christian Benteke
hobbled off the pitch in the first half of Aston Villa's match against Norwich on Saturday with a hip flexor injury and looks certain to miss Tuesday's League Cup match against Tottenham.

But the big Belgian won't be the only absentee, as Villa have seven other players in various states of disrepair.
Lambert revealed up to eight players - including Ashley Westwood, Antonio Luna, Gary Gardner and Chris Herd - are carrying knocks going into the Spurs showdown.
In addition, Gabby Agbonlahor, Fabian Delph and Ciaran Clark played through the pain barrier in the victory at Carrow Road.
Benteke is obviously Villa's biggest loss, but Gabriel Agbonlahor and Fabian Delph have also started the season in excellent form and have been hugely important to the team's performances this year. Meanwhile, injuries to Antonio Luna and Ciaran Clark, coupled with the season-ending injury recently suffered by new signing Jores Okore means Villa's already shaky back line could be in dreadful shape.
This is good news for a Spurs side which will likely see most of its key starting players rested for the match. Given the quality of Tottenham's depth right now, Spurs' second string squad have a great chance to progress to the next round over a Villa team shorn of almost all of its best players.

leave something for united to win
Hahaha...actually I was referring to last years loss at the hands of Wigan...understood both sides looked dramatically different yesterday, but you will be hard pressed to tell me City gave a piss about that final and Mancini

Regardless of an offside goal given to villa...embarrassing, just miserable contentment...game is 90' not when you think you've won...pathetic...Josie couldn't have been more out of position on Bakuna matata's free kick...hope someone cashed on over 3' goals

And I do get a kick out of Kolarov...I actually like him....his attempts thru out the match to resemble Ronaldo do make me chuckle...

As good as Man. City is at home, they look pretty ordinary on the road in league play. Too many defensive mistakes. Hart didn't even move on the free kick. Don't know what happened on Villas third goal.

Ha ha. Yes, defensive blunder for sure. A rare mistake by Kompany. City controlled most of that game, yet still found a way to lose.

I just noticed they rested Aguero, must be for the Bayern game on Wed. Good luck in that one. Hopefully, you get to see it live this time.

well pelly never had the talent to challenge pep but city and bayern. player values are 473M vs 483M so no excuses anymore (Villareal vs Barca was 50M vs 600M btw) and while city are all over the board with results i took em getting half goal today. Time to put up or shut up in the CL though

If i was a religious man I'd pray for your wallet later...City just can not be trusted, no matter the opposition. I can not justify what goes on our back line and net on a week in week out basis. Hart has bought his own hype and while Kompany is a nice center back along w/ a young nastasic they are hardly world class...and I sound like a broken record when I say we only play w/a two man back line...although, bald and brainless, robben is still a lightning bolt down the wing...he will make our wing backs suffer today if they get caught upfield(which is a weekly occurrence)...would be pleasant though if they kept back let the attack do what they are paid for and make robben go right, then maybe we have a shot today...regardless of outcome today, a fit Everton might be the last team you'd want to have next on the docket

Clichy and Richards at wing backs today w/hart in net....so Munich already has a goal or two as far as I am concerned...again, not betting this team at all this season....this one shapes up as a cracker...I'd take a stab(if I still bet this lot)at a 3-3 draw at 40-1...3-2Munich@20-1....I think at 7/4 odds over 3' is well within reach....and whatever odds(wasn't searching hi and lo)Munich is 'to score' it's not low enough!!!!...City win would be surprising(not stunning)...a draw I can live with...a loss, I am expecting....

glad you've finally come around to my thinking....joe hart is the most overrated keeper in the world. what a fn disaster giving up a goal like that in first 10 minutes against the champs. not good for my wallet at all

agree we could see a 3-2 or 4-2 game here
