what do you think about the total deb?

The total opened at 49 and bounced around somewhat before settling at 48 for the time being, I think this total could be a little tricky as there are too many intangibles that can and will affect the O/U total on the game.

Logically you would think the UNDER would be a safe way to go in this contest with regard to the amount of time the Eagle regulars have not played which could lead to a slow start offensively and of course it must be remembered that the picture that is currently cemented in "Joe Public's" mind of the vikes at the moment is one of a high flying-high scoring offense which of course might be the reason for this relatively high total.

However, as I mentioned above these vikes are playing on the road for the 3rd straight week and are a road weary team and tired teams make lots of mistakes and give up lots of points defensively, and don't forget that the vikes have the NFL's 28th ranked defense overall as it is and are 27th in the league in pass defense.

Personally I think this total could go either way and have elected to leave it alone and simply go with the better overall team that I believe will cash a ticket for me and in this case...its the Eagles.

I had USC over Oklahoma and unlike you explained in a logical written analysis as to why USC was the side to back in that game, I also had Virginia Tech which was the winning side over Auburn....ahhhhhh that's right, you had one of your imaginary mega "Graham cracker bets" on Auburn like you have on minny in this game didn't you?

Just like the rest of "Joe public" you think the vikes are really going to cover this seemingly high number which by the way is really 8.5 and not the 9.5 you have listed unless of course you paid higher juice.

Just like "Joe Public" you want to automatically write off the Eagles because they lost Terrell Owens to injury, correct me if I am wrong but...isn't this the same Eagle team that made it to the past three straight NFC Championship games WITHOUT Terrell Owens and isn't this the same viking team that backed their way into the playoffs this year with their lofty 8-8 regular season record and are actually in the playoffs for the first time in four years?

The truth of the matter is that the vikes have no real study material on the birds without TO in the line-up while in a meaningful game situation this season, also it must be remembered that the vikes are now playing on the road for the third straight week.

Past history shows that NFC top seeds have gone 16-0 SU and 13-3 ATS the past 16 years in this playoff round but unbelievably bettors are still grabbing the points with the vikes and have caused the line to drop to Philly -8.5 after opening up with the Eagles installed as 9 point favorites....I personally jumped all over the Eagles laying -8.5!

Now little high school boy, do you think you can logically explain to me your reasons for liking the vikes sooooooo much in this game over the battle tested Eagles who other than their home finale when they rested players against Cincy are undefeated and won 5 of their other 7 home games by double digit margins?
