As for Mike Silver. He is a liar. He is smooth talker, but a liar none the less. It is clear that if Royal doesn't step in we are out all our money (Sting, Mike, and this NBAlive ghost might say otherwise in public, but everyone else is fairly clear on the truth). Thanks to Royal, we can all just dislike Mike. No Royal stepping in, and at least I personally HATE Mike with a passion.

rpm, Mike Silver may not be a crook/thief--but how in the hell can you call him a 'good guy?' That's as stupid as when you called yourself, 'a proven winner.' He lied (including to your boss and peers) and continued trying to get money into his book with ridiculous bonus promises right up until the end. He quite probably would have screwed players out of their money if Royal hadn't bailed him out.
I applaud Royal for bailing GA out and offering some recourse for those that would have been screwed by GA, but neither MS nor Fredd are 'good guys.' Far from it! And this site (The Rx) is very much to blame for pumping up GA--new book, but solid, etc., etc., etc.
(How in the hell did a site that offers 20 cent baseball lines, no props, and no money lines on other sports, run into financial problems???)
Here's a hypothetical case that I am sure holds for many smaller gamblers w/ money at GA: new site offers juicy bonuses and is strongly backed by The Prescription, so many gamblers put a signifiacant portion of their entire bankroll into GA. They happened to win at GA, but haven't quite met the 5x rollover requirement, so can't withdraw any funds. At the same time, maybe they are losing money at other outs. Now, they have to keep GA money at Royal for another 5x rollover -- they are strapped financially. Are you going to loan them the rent money? Don't be naive, many gamblers play right on the edge - that's why 'IF' bets are offered.
Quit defending these screw-ups.

However, I must say when talking to Mike on AOL IM he appeared to be a good guy...and on a few occassions I admit he actually helped me out when I had an altercation with another person at another forum.... He is a good guy - but I really wasn't expecting this whole situation to develop - I guess I really can say Trust No One in this industry?!?
Jerkoffs like Silver make me laugh. They run their operation into the ground and then try to portray themselves as saviors by getting another book to give you a bail out offer. "Oh great instead of having my money I have to bet 5 times my money and hope I don't lose or piss it away in vig playing scalps and middles." Unfortunately there are people naive enough to believe this crap. This situation has Mark Delfloppo written all over it.
Naw, everyone would have gotten paid their money.... Just ask Ole Sting. He KNOWS Mike real well and thinks he's a great guy. Yeah, he'd have paid everyone all their money... yeah, and if my aunt had balls, was 40 years younger and 150 lbs bigger she'd be in the NFL. I don't know who's more full of shit, Silver or Sting.
