not mccarthys fault. Cmon now. He had his guys in place all game to win.

Int by morgan burnett with 5 min left he decides to slide instead of keep running..possibly a pick 6 but they start celebrating too early. I've never seen that. Craziest game i've ever witnessed prolly

Not going for 2 last week was the correct decision, we talked about it last week. If you don't understand why, then just drop it.

Today, he was a joke. Inside the 5 twice, settle for 2 FGs. 2nd half play calling a joke.

Then to call out the kid Bostick after the game, saying he didn't do his job. Pathetic leadership skills. Thats not why they lost.

Biz, not going for 2 last week was not the correct decision; and we did not "talk about it". You expressed your opinion that McCarthy's decision to kick the PAT was correct vs. going for 2; whereas I was in full agreement with the original poster with regard to McCarthy making a mistake not going for 2 last week. I understand just fine; believe me. Enough said on this "dead horse"; we've beat it to death; let's just agree that we disagree.

Again, McCarthy has made mistakes like this for years now; he just gets away with these mistakes more times than not because his team is good enough to "mask" them. He has been a terrible game manager for a while now and had the Packers beaten the Seahawks yesterday, his mistakes would have once again gone relatively unnoticed. However, this time, lightning struck.

Thats what I couldn't figure out. He got the pick, had guys out front of him and he runs 2 yards and slides. Then they run 3 plays like there is 30 seconds on the clock then punt. Pathetic........

And the punter intentionally kicks it out of bounds to avoid a runback and it only goes about 20 yards. Sets up Seattle with good field position and plenty of time on the clock. Then Green Bay goes into prevent defense like they're up 4 scores instead of 2. It all started with the 2nd and 31 on Seattle's first TD drive. Lynch right up the middle for 12 and then the 3-man rush which leads to the conversion on 3rd and 19. Entire quarter was botched by McCarthy.

I blame the whole coaching staff but pin point special teams coach, defensive co-ordinator, and of course the HC McCarthy. First important major screw up was the field goal attempt that turned into a touchdown. When was the last time anyone has blocked a relatively short field goal. 3 points on the board was no big deal at the time but 7 sure was. Why was there not containment on the kicker and holder by both outside rushers. Hell no, that makes no sense at all or does it. Second screw up and at the time was tide turner was rushing 3 guys in a 3rd and 19. Wilson knew he would never run for that much so just stayed back in the pocket until someone got into an open zone. I counted 10-11 seconds he had before the throw. That was a back breaker. Why would you only rush 3 guys when you have been doing such a great job on D. Why on earth would you allow any Pro QB all the time in the world to throw the ball 20 yards. The special teams thing with the on side kick was ridiculous as that should never happen. When a ball is up in the air and that close to the side lines, just knock the damn thing out of bounds. Seems to me to be much easier to volleyball the thing out of bounds than catch it, end of story. I see the special teams coach just chewing Bostick's ass out when he got back to the Packers bench. If he was that bad why was he out there in the first place. I can't even remember him playing in the game at all. You put in a guy that hasn't played a down except kickoffs, but then he is in the middle of the biggest play of the game? The announcers said that the TE Rodgers probably had the best hands, why the hell wasn't he in there instead of Bostick. That Burnett play was way beyond stupid, it was borderline insanity. That is an end of the game play period or unless you are surrounded and have no where to go. That play was neither. The TV switched then to the Packers bench and Mathews was laughing and patting backs and high 5's and I was at the edge of my recliner yelling "It ain't over boys, not by a long shot". That 3 and out with a little over two minutes left was the Head Coach f—in up big time. They needed one first down to really get to somewhat of a comfortable position. Hawks had already used 2 TO's on the series (which they would have taken no matter what) and had the 2 minute warning also. If the Pack gets the first down the Hawks would have to take a TO and just maybe it would be after the 2 minute warning which would take the clock down to less than 40 seconds or so. Why would you even get to that stage. You should be doing everything in your power to WIN the game, not have a chance to LOSE it. What kind of mentality makes that kind of decision. It was McCarthy's pure and simple, he is the HC, he calls all the plays. I have been a Packer fan since I was in 4th grade when my Dad took me to a Packer practice in that field next to Lambeau or at least it was then. This was by far my biggest heart break ever and I am now 68 years old. Gentlemen, I have seen a lot during this time but nothing quite like yesterday. It took me till now to compose myself enough to write this and it still hurts. Finally, the Coach's, every single one of them have to be better than this. The player's, fan's and any one else deserve better. A very good season ruined somewhat by 4 minutes of ineptitude which we will have to carry until next year. "GO PACK"

They replayed that pick after the play was over. Seattle had 6 guys in the general area and the Packers had 6 guys right there also. If every Packer blocked a Seattle player, he could have made it to the end zone. At the very least, he could have gone 15 or 20 yards and set them up for an easy field goal. I immediately thought he slipped on the turf but when I seen what happened I had a bad feeling the Packers were going to lose the game.

Mccarthy sucks. Hes a conservative coach. He has lost countless games because of it. Its his fault. He plays not to lose never puts the foot on the gas.

He made several Game Management mistakes today as he typically does in every game he coaches. These type mistakes get magnified in single game one and done scenariosas you're going up against playoff caliber competition. His mind simply isn't quick enough to process the information at hand to make the required correct split second decisions that arise at critical junctures in certain games.

Damn right they do. Well said.
