I blame the whole coaching staff but pin point special teams coach, defensive co-ordinator, and of course the HC McCarthy. First important major screw up was the field goal attempt that turned into a touchdown. When was the last time anyone has blocked a relatively short field goal. 3 points on the board was no big deal at the time but 7 sure was. Why was there not containment on the kicker and holder by both outside rushers. Hell no, that makes no sense at all or does it. Second screw up and at the time was tide turner was rushing 3 guys in a 3rd and 19. Wilson knew he would never run for that much so just stayed back in the pocket until someone got into an open zone. I counted 10-11 seconds he had before the throw. That was a back breaker. Why would you only rush 3 guys when you have been doing such a great job on D. Why on earth would you allow any Pro QB all the time in the world to throw the ball 20 yards. The special teams thing with the on side kick was ridiculous as that should never happen. When a ball is up in the air and that close to the side lines, just knock the damn thing out of bounds. Seems to me to be much easier to volleyball the thing out of bounds than catch it, end of story. I see the special teams coach just chewing Bostick's ass out when he got back to the Packers bench. If he was that bad why was he out there in the first place. I can't even remember him playing in the game at all. You put in a guy that hasn't played a down except kickoffs, but then he is in the middle of the biggest play of the game? The announcers said that the TE Rodgers probably had the best hands, why the hell wasn't he in there instead of Bostick. That Burnett play was way beyond stupid, it was borderline insanity. That is an end of the game play period or unless you are surrounded and have no where to go. That play was neither. The TV switched then to the Packers bench and Mathews was laughing and patting backs and high 5's and I was at the edge of my recliner yelling "It ain't over boys, not by a long shot". That 3 and out with a little over two minutes left was the Head Coach f—in up big time. They needed one first down to really get to somewhat of a comfortable position. Hawks had already used 2 TO's on the series (which they would have taken no matter what) and had the 2 minute warning also. If the Pack gets the first down the Hawks would have to take a TO and just maybe it would be after the 2 minute warning which would take the clock down to less than 40 seconds or so. Why would you even get to that stage. You should be doing everything in your power to WIN the game, not have a chance to LOSE it. What kind of mentality makes that kind of decision. It was McCarthy's pure and simple, he is the HC, he calls all the plays. I have been a Packer fan since I was in 4th grade when my Dad took me to a Packer practice in that field next to Lambeau or at least it was then. This was by far my biggest heart break ever and I am now 68 years old. Gentlemen, I have seen a lot during this time but nothing quite like yesterday. It took me till now to compose myself enough to write this and it still hurts. Finally, the Coach's, every single one of them have to be better than this. The player's, fan's and any one else deserve better. A very good season ruined somewhat by 4 minutes of ineptitude which we will have to carry until next year. "GO PACK"
