u disappointed we didnt get holliday? i still think we will be number 1 contender for him at trade deadline, just think beans smart enough to double or triple the price over what rockies woulda charged.


When do u think they make a decision on burrell?

Reports I saw they would have to deal Victorino and Carrasco for Holliday which isn't worth it in my opinion. Holliday is a good player, but his numbers are inflated at Coors and has 1 year left on his contract. With Boras his agent they would have to give him Manny type of money.

I heard they offered Burrell a 2 year $21 million deal, but he turned it down so I'm not sure. My guess is Burrell will sign with another team. Guy I want them to get is Derek Lowe.

Also I just saw they dealt Golson to the Rangers for John Mayberry. I thought Golson was the CF of the future, but I guess not. Mayberry, drafted 19th overall by the Rangers in 2005, hit .263 with 16 homers and 58 RBIs in 114 games for Triple-A Oklahoma City this year.

vic and carasco was the deal duirng the season, for holliday and fuentes....i think they could keep vic and if they woulda made deal for holliday during off season.......for my money, Vic is the Cf of the future in philly for next 7-10 years.....no reason to think other wise......mayberry has a masher for a father and u know your getting power with him....i cant imagine they are grooming him to replace howard, as i have pretty much given up, and assumed they are keeping howard for the next 8-10 years...... anyway, for hollidays age, i woulda given him manny kind of money, but ir eally think hes more like 16m-18m next year.......burrellw as getting like 15, so how far fetched would it be to simply give that to holliday?
