You guys shouldn't be surprised by the Islamic reaction. It's pretty much par for the course. I don't think the father saw the video because it was not as quick a death as he says. In Saudi Arabia they use a sword for decapitation but it is a lot sharper than what they (the militants) were using. That is pretty much an instantaneous death. I think if they brought back public execution in America that some of this overreaction would be avoided.
Some strange things about this whole thing that others have already touched upon.....
Frankly, as a civilian you'd have to pay me some serious $$$ for me to even entertain the thought of going over to one of these countries in the $hithole-country-of-the-month-club....
Civvies that go there should realize they're heading into an unstable place without the same laws and rules and securities that the US generally affords visitors.....I say generally, cuz we still have glitches in our system and tourists still get mugged here....no place is 100% safe......I can't think of anyplace in Syria, Libya, Israel, Iraq, Iran...just to name a few....that I would want to go to....
As a general rule if game shows don't offer trips there then you better just stay away...
