If I was a cop, I wouldn't be worried about a guy hiding and then running away when there is an active shooter report. I'd be worried about an active shooter lmao. They don't runnaway, they keep shooting lol.

According to Bennett, the incident occurred in the early-morning hours on Aug. 27 after the Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight in Las Vegas, when police apprehended him after hearing what sounded like gunshots in a crowded area.

------------------

the above came from post 1, so evidently Bennett himself referred to "hearing what sounded like gunshots"

I understand that he ans everyone running thought they heard gun shots. I get that. But who relayed the bullshit info that the imaginary shooter was black? That didn't help. If you didn't see him why would that info be assumed?

Would be a lot more clear if the cops followed policy and had their body cameras on. Always doing whatever the fuck they want. That's why people don't like police.

It's a vicious circle really. People don't like police because of exaggerated fear mongering, fear leads to hate... And it's the same with black people, people hate because of fear almost all the time. No one is racist because of skin color, it's always based in some irrational fear. Fear mongering isn't going to fix anything, it's only going cause more hate. Yeah there are cops that get away with shit, and yeah there are blacks that are criminals, but fear mongering with collective nonsense is only going to make things worse. People need to reach out from both sides with empathy if you want to see change. Hate don't fix hate.

Not saying Bennet didn't blow it up. But somebody is racist here lol. Either the 911 caller or the cops, who assumed that the shooter that they never saw was black. If you weren't looking for a big black guy then they probably let Bennett run free because their concern would be with an active shooter. Not a big black man. Bennett coulda thrown the gun or still had it. So I have no issue with how anyone acted until Bennett was acting up while in hand cuffs. I didn't like how he kept ranting. It looked like he wanted it to be that AHA moment. Where he can be like.... I told you. So I definitely didn't like that. But him hiding and running during an active shooter report is not suspicious. Dude doesn't want to get shot. Too bad this part of the story will get no attention, but somebody fucked up with that info.

So finally with understanding that I see where Bennett is coming from. BUT, it doesn't mean he is right. He's not. But he's not lying. Someone else did that part. This is why there was miscommunication and confusion in the story. Bennett didn't know they were looking for a big black guy. He just heard gun shots. How would he know what the cops were looking for? So Bennett fucked up by talking too much and eating up the moment. But it wasn't his fault. Somebody put him in a bad spot. Whoever relayed that info to police. I'm not going to say police assumed that. I hope not at least.

No just saying if you don't pay attention when clearing a room you will be dead sooner than later

I'd pay attention if I had the report that the shooter was black. Then I'd tell him to lay on the ground. But if I didn't have that report I would let the black guy run away. So I understand why. But if I just had an active shooter report. I'm not worried about someone hiding and running away. It's going to be chaos regardless. If you don't expect to see shit like that and can't differentiate the threat between someone running away and an active shooter, then you shouldn't be a cop. Period.

I'm asking. First report I heard was....cops responded to a live shooting incident with a big black guy with a gun. Lol was that not the first thing that broke on why they confused him with someone else? That's hilarious. When there was never a shooter. So I am asking, why was that information in the cops heads?

God you're a fucking idiot with no HS education that can't comprehend 3rd grade English.

Nobody said the cops were told it was a black guy doing the shooting. The report was a shooting in a casino. What the cops in their head was a guy that ran from them when they told him him to stand still.

Why are you a douchebag?

Let's explain this slowly for the retard in the room.

1) The cops were called out on a report of an active shooter in a casino. No further details provided at this point in time.

2) Two Hispanic cops arrive first.

3) They make eye contact with Bennett and he runs from them.

4) They detain him thinking he may be linked to the call.

5) After 10 minutes, they let him go as they determined he wasn't involved in a shooting that never happened.

6) Bennett cries to the media he was targeted even though his own lawyer says he was not racially profiled.

7) Deep Throater fucks the entire story up.

I agree. What else do people want from the police. Nobody was hurt or arrested, back in the day cops would charge with resisting arrest and nothing else if you did this, which would have been bull shit, they didn't even do that. Everyone went home safe and unharmed, this is what should be expected not frowned upon.

Sorry liberals but you guys lose this one, this is the type of nonsense that makes people elect a dumb ass like Trump... just sayin

I think if Micheal Bennett was a short white guy neatly dressed, cleanly shaven, short hair and no tats, he would have been restrained by police at the scene if he tried to hide and then ran directly defying police orders

Difference is, I would listen to what the police told me to do

Okay, good. What I wanted was for that to be a lie.

Look at it like this, forget this situaton for a second.... any active shooter situation....mad chaos..... you see mad people running around. So if the cops don't know what they are looking for besides an active shooter. Having no idea what the shooter looks like, you are going to run after a guy who makes eye contact with you and runs?

Lol tell me in the history of the universe, what active shooter has ever made eye contact with a cop and then run away? The guns would be going off.

Your job is to make sure there isn't an active shooter. Bennett could have very well been non cooperative. But still seems fishy to me that if there wasn't a report of a big black guy. Why are you running after any guy who makes eye contact with you and runs during an active shooter situation. Some people in those situations may very well be in complete shock and don't know who to trust. In complete chaos they run at the sight of possible violence. Shit if I see a group of cops coming into a room...I am not running towards them. LOL. WHAT!?!?!? People run away in those situations unless it's like a hostage situation where cops are negotiating for your freedom. Otherwise, nah. Nothing suspicious about that shit. Active shooter and you go after Bennett. Lol. That doesn't seem odd? It wasn't until he was on the ground is where I would think he might be trying to use this to help his case about sitting for the anthem or something. But leading up to that, the man was scared. Black people do not trust police. Especially with what he has said publicly, why in the world would he run AT police? Of course he is going to run away. What else do you expect from him? To run up to the police like "help help help sir save me." He's not white. They might have shot Bennett if he ran AT them.

I was hoping that this did just come down to a lack of miscommunication and someone assuming the shooter was black. But if that isn't the case, then not sure why cops are chasing a guy who makes eye contact with you.

What active shooter in American History has ever seen police and RAN away???? The closest thing I can think of is the Colorado batman shooter. That pussy bitch went to his car after shooting up the theater and then gave up I believe. But he never left. Their full intention is to shoot and kill. Bennett was hiding and running away.....yeah sounds real dangerous.

Making eye contact with cops....illegial apparently. Because running out of the building during a active shooter situation is nothing but very common.

Can't look at the cops in their eyes people. If you avoid looking at him in the eye....they will see you showed him no eye contact, so you will be suspicious. LMFAO HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA. So fucking true.

If you DON'T look at the cop in the EYE. They will say he avoided eye contact and was suspicious. LOL!!!!! Say it isn't true. Cops can say WHATEVER they fucking want. Plain and simple.

And if your job is to make sure there isn't an active shooter. What the FUCK are you running after Bennett for?!!?! Nobody who fires a gun waits around for police UNLESS they are a REAL active shooter waiting to shoot it out with cops. They have plans to kill.

So you have two sensible avenues here. Either it is an active shooter waiting for you to shoot it out with police. OR it is a guy who shot a gun and left the area. Those are the ONLY two common sense options in this situation. If the cop expects the shooter to be hiding and making eye contact and then running....for him to be the shooter is pretty laughable. Maybe cops had already cleared the entire building and was like oh who is this dumbass let's see if he saw anything. But most likely that wasn't the case, and they ran after the first black guy who looked "suspicious." But just turn on your body cameras and follow policy for one time in your fucking life. Act like a professional.

Like I said if you see two black people walking down a street compared to two white or two hispanic, you are going to be naturally more afraid of the two black people. Whether you are white, spanish, asian, doesn't matter. Black people have been made out to be the most violent and dangerous people in America. You don't think cops feel that way too??? They are also citizens when they are off duty. So I don't care if the cops were spanish. It's human nature to think that way because of how the system is structured.

So in other words, no one was thinking that night. Bennett + the cops all idiots.

Plus the "shooter" doesn't know if he was identified. So when he sees cops he is going to know the cops are there FOR HIM. Or at least he will automatically think that. So why would ANY shooter run away and risk being shot in the back???? Makes no fucking sense. And for the cops to not put that in perspective is even more hilarious.

Think guys think.

Therefore yes, I would absolutely let that person run away. Case and point.

Anymore brain busters?

I got to go though. Wise up.
