4-2 to wrap up the night, Suns started real slow but had just enough to get over the team total, 1.3+ 1+.5 +.9 -1.5 = +2.2units, again positive profit for the day = :cripwalk: ME

Decided to put my record in here, now that I am almost back to even after an abysmal start...last time I did this I was a perfect candidate to fade, so please exercise caution when looking at my plays...my method of capping usually involves stats, angles, # of games vs days off, and a LITTLE bit of seeing who the top cappers in the forum have (hey, if they are picking a game that I'm against, what am I missing???) Anyways, best of luck to everyone, and remember, Money Management is what separates the winners from the losers.

Last 2 days picking games: 8-3 + 7.6 units

YTD: 16-15-1 -.5 unit

Picks for 11/11/08

Phili -4 1.5 units Even with D. Williams out for Utah, I would still probably take this line for Phili...After starting off slow, I think Phili will begin to hit their stride within the next 3-5 games, and I hope to capitalize...only thing I'm VERY worried about is that Utah is missing 2 major starters (Williams and Okur), and the line is STILL 4...I realize that Utah is 5-1, whereas Phili is a meager 2-4.... I just still don't trust Utah on the road, missing 2 starters that are known to be clutch in the money quarter, in a hostile environment with the crowd DYING to get their team going...

Denver -3 1.5 units I think that while Denver is doomed in the long run and will struggle to make the playoffs, and USUALLY are not a good road team at all, I like their situation here. Billups is giving the Nuggets a different option compared to Iverson, and I would probably be on Charlotte if the trade hadn't occurred. After watching him operate the past two games, he has been everything Denver could have hoped for. I would usually like Charlotte, at home, in the middle of a 6 game homestretch, getting points, ANDDDD both teams split their 4 game series last season by winning on their home court....and yet STILL can't put money on these Bobcats...This game will be close, with either team having a chance to win, but I like Billups/Anthony's ability to close out games and execute down the stretch, along with being able to hit close free throws when it matters, so I'll take Denver here

Knicks +3 2 units (Big PLAY OF THE NIGHT) I think the average bettor still sees a matchup like this and says "Spurs only giving up 3? Against the terrible Knicks??? I'm all over that!!!" But this is a game where these two teams are going in opposite directions, albeit early in the season. First, 4 words on the Spurs: No Parker, No Ginobli I don't care what team you are, when you lose 2 all-stars, and both certainly are candidate's when healthy, you take a huge hit. Spurs are a proud team, and while they will continue to truck on regardless of injuries and have a great coach and HOF in Duncan, who will destroy the matchups inside, Knicks have really responded well to Coach D'Antoni's offensive scheme, and I think they will try to make this game an up-and down matchup...if the Knicks get caught trying to play a half-court game, they will certainly lose, and if this game goes down to the wire I like the Spurs due to their experience and home court...but I think Knicks will be able to push the ball at will against the Spurs and should be able to win this game straight up by 4 or 5 points.

LEAN: Hawks +3.5 If Josh Smith was playing this game, I would be on the Hawks regardless of the spread...I think that this team is for real, and that last season's 7 game dukeout with the C's was not a fluke, nor is their 5-0 start...they have a great blend of talent at 4 positions, with Joe Johnson being a bonefide stud (like they had hoped when they lured him away from the Suns), J Smith being a defensive stopper ala Camby, and Horford coming along nicely...with all that said, I think that Chicago is a totally different team at home vs away, and with Smith done for a few weeks, I expect the Hawks to cool off a bit...Staying away from this game, but expect Chicago to probably take this game....might be re-visiting this later tonight wishing I had played the hawks, but for now I'm staying away and gonna try to watch this game online as it should be a good one

PLAYS:

Knicks +3 2 units
Phili -4 1.5 units
Denver -3 1.5 units
LEAN: ATL +3.5

Best of Luck everyone!
