No dude, they are worth something here. They´ll either wear it cause they can´t afford to buy one, or sell it cheap and make a quick buck. Even if they sell it for $10 or less, those $10 go a long way for these thieves.
When I was in highschool my friends after bk practice would get jumped all the time and they would steal their used tennis shoes.
A lot of small crime here if you happen to be out walking in the city, specially if you have jewelery, electronics or just got cash from the ATM.
