They wont count towards his record so they aren't official...only had 2 official plays today. And yes those early line plays on Sunday should not be official glad he retracted that. Majority of his clients can't get lines that early, so it's not fair to call those official when the lines move 3-6 points by the time the average local or sports book put out their lines. I think it's great to have those Sunday early plays for the value, but to count them towards a record that half the clients can't even play its not the right thing to do

Mega's gone tout.. which means there are expectations to win which translates to more pressure. Now sitting at +4.5 units in the hole after only 2 weeks, that pressure is mounting. With added pressure comes more more stress and possible 2nd guessing. Especially being the good guy Mega is, the last thing he wants to do is bury his clients. How he handles the pressure, who knows? But it's that pressure why so many fail once they go tout.
If you're tailing him, good on you for comforting yourself with a long outlook on things. I try to do the same as well with gambling. However I make no illusion.. this year is a whole new ball game than previous years.
i get it with the whole "tout curse" and pressure.
but hes not touting his package, or releasing tons of plays a week, etc. he puts out maybe 3 plays a week, this week only 2 and advising people to tail with caution if thats what they want to do. just single plays, not 3-5 unit bombs.
hes charging a minimal amount for all the information he puts out. he lost 2 weeks in a row but has a long track record of 5-6 years posting and its def not his first back to back losing weeks.
i think those complaining are way over their head with expectations as well as betting more than they should in a given week.
I agree with what a lot of what you're saying.
But still, you can spin in anyway he wants, the dude's running a service. Plain and simple.
He's not touting his package because he doesn't need to. He's already generated a massive following from his years on Covers. But just because he doesn't "tout" in the stereotypical sense or just b/c he only releases a few plays a week doesn't mean he still isn't charging for his picks. Yes, his fee is minimal. But it's still a fee. And although you may be level headed about things, that doesn't mean others will be (especially considering most his clientele comes from Covers which if you spend anytime on there you know just what type of gamblers many of those kids are). Can you imagine the type of emails/ messages he might be getting from some of those degens?
The reality is this year is different from others. You can tell yourself it's not all you want... and that's fine. That's your choice. But the pressure of being a service/ tout is real and very different from posting one's picks for free on a forum... and hence, it would be wise to keep the 2 seperated
