They all want to pretend they care about the college student. They don't give a rats ass!

I remember going to the final four when it was here a couple of years ago. I walked into the dome and the first thing I did was go to the ATM machine to get some money out. Before I could get my money out I had to read through an advertisement to get apply for a credit card that was geared toward college students.

Let's see. I would gather about 25% of college students MAY gamble. And I would guess the majority of them probably lose less than $1000 during their years in school.

I would also guess that about 80% of college students would take a credit card, if given the choice. That credit card probably has a limit on it of at least $2500. I know my first card 20 years ago did. And I would guess many more students rack up a debt larger than students gambling. And in gambling (whose number is less than students carrying a credit card) you have a chance to win. With a credit card, you aren't going to win any money, only pay off the bill or accrue some debt.

Talk about being hypocritical. I think they should worry about a lot of other things before they start to worry about taking down the only place that can police illegal betting.

Why did'nt the Viet Cong kill this bastard? McCain is such a phony. He comes to Vegas to shoot craps but wants to empty the sportsbooks by banning college betting. Maybe the asshole wanted to watch a game at the book and could'nt find a seat. So he gets the banning idea so the next time he comes to Vegas he'll have a seat to sit down and watch a game.

Chuck- They could close all the sports books in Las Vegas tomorrow and I couldn't find 5 people in this town that would care. No one bets in them anyway. Las Vegas got out of the sports betting business years ago. The only reason the hotels even have them is so tourists can bet their dogshit $5.00 football parlay cards and cheer after every f*****g play.

McCain's bill is a non issue. 36 million came to this over-rated city last year and they'll come again whether or not they can bet on a college event. They'll spend the money on something else here so it won't mean a thing even if the bill passes.

It may go through because the casinos own the local judges and politicians but it's a bit tougher (and more expensive) to get their way at the national level.

Gentlemen, is not extortion the way of our political world?

Meaning, if anyone (group) really wants something, for example a favorable law, isn't it merely a battle of which "yea and nay" dollar, fills more political pockets?

Let's face it, politicians are bought and sold more than Vegas whores.
