In 2004, I used the same reasoning when I voted John Kerry and I've regretted it ever since. I'll never again cast a vote for elected office unless I honestly view the candidate as "best for the job".

Respect your opinion on the third party candidate ideas. I will support McCain and hope he can pull off the win here in MN. You never know I guess. I just feel a vote for Barr would mean nothing other than a protest vote. Hoping Barkley can pull close enough in the senate race. He polled at 13% as a 3rd party. If it's down to Coleman and Franken I have to vote against Franken here. Wellstone must be turning in his grave at the BS going on in this state. I never agreed with a lot of his liberal positions, but he worked his ass off and i respected him.
