I thought that the WSOP was not allowing all of the .com satellite buy-ins this year. How are the poker sites getting around that this year? Or did Harrah's realize how ridiculous it would be to not allow them and come to their senses?

We have decided to run three freerolls every week, (for the moment), but will only announce them on the day they are running. This is to avoid the freeroll 'liggers' from taking advantage. So an annoucement will appear on the site and you will receive an email to let you know where and when.

And in that vein there is another chance to win seats tonight (Tuesday) 9pm to our (Edit-no affiliate links please-gutshot.com).Registration open at midday Tuesday and is restricted to 1,000 runners. The structure of the tournament is:

playersonly, the sites give you the money in your account this year. Harrah's banned all online sites from dealing with entries. It has been confirmed by both Pokerstars and Full Tilt support.

If that is the case then I will go with under 6000 entrants

It is the case. A lot of dead money will just keep the 10k and not even make the trip to Vegas. The field will be smaller and will contain less donkeys - will be interesting to see how many they get considering this and the whole uigea aspect

Matt, I dont think that the $11,000 goes in to the account. last year the WSOP didnt allow internet preregistrations either. You had to go to Vegas and meet POKER STARS and then they would pay it for you in person.

This year is the same, unless you have won 2 times the seat at the same site. I know that one guy has won 5 WSOP seats on stars already

A friend of mine qualified this year and they deposited 10K into his account, and setup a special e-mail address to expedite withdrawals.

Last year, I qualified thru them and didn't have to do a thing, except for show my total rewards card at check-in and they handed me my card with seat assignment.
