Trump looked presidential. She looked like a old pissed off grandma.

Lauer was actually pretty fair. Trump didnt fall for any of his "gotcha" set-ups. Liberals are going to cry when they dont get their way. It was pretty even, which is fair, and now they are pissed. Lauer should have called her out about lying about the emails (and destroying the evidence), but I guess we will leave that for the debates.

Thanks for the Commander in Chief Forum link, Dog. Missed it last night. Just watched it, start to finish.

I thought Laurer was fair in his questions and tough on both candidates.

There is one question that has been nagging me since I first heard, in real time, of the Benghazi attack on our embassy. Where were you Hillary when you heard of this and what did you do? The attack was at 4:00 pm Eastern time. It went on for double digit hours. Where were you for the complete duration of that attack? What orders did you give to rescue our ambassador Stevens and those who went to his rescue? Who did you discuss these orders with? What was your state of preparedness for such a forseable attack in a country that YOU had recently completely destabilized with the assassination of Gadafi? Where was the President for said duration?

If not Laurer, I wish those questions came from one of the vets.

Otherwise I thought Laurer did a very good job, considering the time constraints and his likely personal bias towards Hillary.

In Theory at least a chance exists that Moderators at the Debates will be more aggressive and not avoid asking such questions.

Such a Massive percent of our Government, our Elected Officials are the very people those who founded this country warned against allowing to gain Power or these elected officials are wholly owned by those they warned against, such as "Bankers".

As I've said elsewhere though, as incomprehensible this situation that we find ourselves in: Ruled by Millionaire Politicians who are mere puppets of whom they are and their own Greed

the much larger problem is the Apathy of people within this country.

The Founders of this Nation would be appalled were they able to see where we have come to be. What the country they created has become.

No one can debate that truth, no one will try to debate this.

You know all this stuff though. It is so unfathomable, that we have arrived at this place, it bears saying anyway.

Hard to imagine that The American People, enmasse, are just going to suddenly emerge form their Stupor and begin caring.

If the totality of what Hillary brings to the table doesn't already accomplish making them care.

We will apparently be going where the Anchors that are the unwilling to be Bothered here amongst us and the corrupt within our Government Drag us down to.

Do your best to protect your family and enjoy your life as much as possible.

'We wired it': Emails suggest Clinton aide stage-managed Benghazi hearing questions

Newly released emails suggest a senior Hillary Clinton aide stage-managed her first hearing on the Benghazi terrorist attack by feeding specific topics Clinton wanted to address to Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez, who at the time was acting chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.

"We wired it that Menendez would provide an opportunity to address two topics we needed to debunk (her actions/whereabouts on 9/11, and these email from Chris Stevens about moving locations,)" Clinton media gatekeeper Philippe Reines wrote to Chelsea Clinton the morning of the Jan. 23, 2013 hearing.

Right out of the gate, the first hearing question from Menendez that day covered both topics referenced by Reines.

Menendez asked for Clinton’s “insights on the decision-making process regarding the location of the Mission.” The senator added, “can you also in your response, you touched upon it in your opening statement, but what actions were you and your staff taking the night of September 11 and into September 12?"

The then-secretary of state had an answer on both fronts. She told the committee that "[Ambassador] Chris [Stevens] was committed to not only being in Benghazi but to the location," and that on the night of the attack, "I was notified of the attack shortly after 4:00 p.m. Over the following hours, we were in continuous meetings and conversations both within the department with our team in Tripoli, with the interagency and internationally."

Stevens was among four Americans killed in the attack.

The emails were obtained by the group Citizens United as part of its ongoing Freedom of Information Act request to the State Department for emails from Chelsea Clinton and Hillary Clinton's closest aides.

“This email chain provides a rare behind the scenes look at which Benghazi-related issues the Clinton camp had concerns about going into Secretary Clinton’s January 2013 testimony on Capitol Hill, and what they had apparently plotted out beforehand with a Democrat committee member to deal with those concerns,” Citizens United said in a statement. “Citizens United will continue to release all new Benghazi emails we receive through our FOIA lawsuits as they come in -- the American people have a right to know the full picture.”

Fox News asked the Clinton campaign as well as Menendez's office if they coordinated before the 2013 Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing; what was meant by the term "wired;" and how the email exchange was consistent with the principle of independent congressional oversight. Both confirmed receipt of Fox’s questions. The Senator’s office said they would not be commenting. The Clinton campaign said they would advise Fox if they decided to react to Reines’ email.

In 2013, the New Jersey senator -- who is now facing federal public corruption charges -- at the time of the hearing was about to become chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, replacing John Kerry who was in line to replace Hillary Clinton as secretary of state.

Menendez has denied any wrongdoing.

Thanks, Dog.

"I was notified of the attack shortly after 4:00 p.m. Over the following hours, we were in continuous meetings and conversations both within the department with our team in Tripoli, with the interagency and internationally."

Gobbledygook supreme.

Hardly an acceptable answer to me. Certainly demanding of several followup questions.

Where were the Republican questions here? Trump has it right. They are all part of one massive Government complex that feeds itself while the country is starved for answers.

Yes. Our founders would certainly never have tolerated such corruption. It's so out of control it's frightening, really. Hillary is the poster child yet she has approximately 50% of the vote. Frightening indeed.
