so what you're saying is if we locked down until July all the people who had the corona hoax would have given it to nobody and this flu would have vanished.

Excellent point and one that will never be addressed. No matter what these people would always be screaming that we should have stayed locked down "just a little longer". All that would do is delay the inevitable, unless we thought we were on the cusp of a vaccine. Reminds me of the "free beer tomorrow" sign you see in some bars.

"Flatten the curve" does not equal fewer deaths.

Reminds me of throwing old food in a back alley and watching all the rats scurry to it as fast as they can....

I don't think the OP even responds. Just watches.

People are so easily manipulated.

Notice how he put deaths in the title for the first time in 2 months in the thread title ?

This is because we had a small statistical spike yesterday due to the holiday dump.

Its funny how he ignored that number for 2 months until it fit his narrative if for just one day.

Todays numbers are going to return right back to a trending down figure and I’m sure the death number will be ignored tomorrow just as it has been for the last 2 months .

My early numbers are showing that today will be less then last Thursday as we are getting back to a normal report schedule

Yeah and to be fair he was gone for a couple months when Covid was calming down. But once stupid people started not giving a fuck anymore....we’re back where we started pretty much.

OP is doing a great job. Sorry you guys don’t like what’s going on in the world. My advice is to wear a mask, it will be over with faster.

If we just soldiered it out until late July. It would’ve been dealt with for certain. But we wanted to celebrate Memorial Day and celebrate 4th of July

Were tired of being inside. Little bitches.

In my area weeks ago most were wearing masks. Now most are not wearing them.

More people walking around are not keeping 6 feet apart either.

The number of cars on roads & people walking around looks like pre C-19 numbers, whereas not long ago it was almost like a ghost town.

Good. It's not worth destroying the entire world so that 88 year old people can live to see 89. It's really not. The death rate is plummeting because young people do not die from this.

The death rate for children and teenagers is lower than for the flu. Those people should be behaving as normally and the elderly should be isolated.

This is science. Sorry you don't understand it.

Many more would have died without the lockdown, social distancing, mask wearing & other safety measures (e.g. hand washing).

IOW if C-19 had always been treated as "just another flu", many - MANY - more deaths would have occurred already.

Not only that, but many hospitals would have been overwhelmed. Leading to many more - non C-19 - deaths because the overwhelmed hospitals couldn't handle both C-19 emergency cases and non C-19 emergency cases, leaving the latter to die.

Who can say how much panic and civil unrest that would have caused.

Furthermore, the economy probably would have been worse off in the long run.

Leave the experts to do their jobs. After all, they are the experts, not some forum wannabes talking about things in retrospect.

Opinions. I say otherwise as do many professionals in the medical field. Actually there is no way to prove either side. If you are scared to go out, stay at home. It's pretty simple.
