So Fox news got scammed ?

Seems you might bleed to death rather rapidly, or at least bleed enough to make a mess at site ?

No other reports on Google.

I vote fake

When you die you usually shit yourself, and go out with a hard on. So the muscles tighting may be true from what was said above.

Sounds good, pretty much the way I've gone thru life anyway...

How can it be real? It is cut at almost the elbow. but no marks near the rist?
Does the crock have no teeth on that side but razor sharp teeth on the left dide of the mouth. Come on guys.....

It is a fake arm, fake blood. hey probably rubbed a chicken or beef all over the fake arm and gaveit to him for the pic.

P

Yep, say the croc's mouth is 8" wide, there would be an 8" chunk of forearm in the reptile's mouth, and a hand laying on the ground, if the critter bit all the way through.

A croc can't bite through, it rips it off. The teeth aren't razor sharp either. I can't see it tearing through the forearm though, I would think it would rip of the entire forearm since the joint (elbow) is much weaker.

There are teeth marks on the arm btw.

He'd have to do it with a lot of force for a clean break, don't know if a croc could twist (ie have enough range of movement) its head enough to do it? Maybe the bone was crushed on the bite allowing the croc to then shake and tear the arm of the body?? Either way, the croc couldn't have simply bitten his arm off.

I doubt believe everything I see/read right away. This just didn't look real, esp. with the abscence of blood.

if you look at the flesh in the picture, it shows signs of a tearing injury just distal to the elbow. that arm was ripped off. i've seen many injuries like this in the ER usually the result of MVA. as for the arm being viable, if infection doesn't set in and the tissue is not necrotic, the wrist definately and some of the fingers likely will regain enough function justifying the reattachment. however this will most likely take at minimum 3-5 additional procedures. i guess the point of the story is don't hand over your arm to a 400lb croc.
