RPM, well done. There is hope for you.

For what it's worth, I have studied Major's posting and can nearly 100% verify that that was not Major. Major is not nearly as articulate as the gentleman/lady that crafted that post, nor would he be as mild-tempered. Major is a type-c compulsive personality and could never respond in such a contolled way to a direct attack on his reputation.

All in all I thought it was a very strong, well-organized rebuttle to a very poorly organized ad hoc attack on a competitor. Whoever this poster is, he or she is a focused, learned, patient individual; traits worth emulating in my opinion.

Sorry Lander, not the Major. Another case of you insinuating something without doing your homework.

Had you done it the first time around, you would not be in the position of having to defend yourself, and your defense is probably even a more pronounced idictment of the original accusation of agenda.

"Defensive type". Hardly. Absolutely nothing to "hide". My own name will appear at MajorStats when football season comes around.

"Ghosting". Wrong again.

The bottom line is that the most important item that you could have addressed, you either failed to or chose not to. What would the explanation be for not having spent only a few minutes to find that there were #'s and categories at MajorStats that you would not find from any other feed? You would have saved yourself embarassment and this thread would have died long ago.

Unless it really is per "word" or "post", of course.

OK joker, answer my question, could or could not those content pieces have been ripped?

I guarentee you the answer is yes, but feel free to deflect the question (again).

lander of course the content can be ripped, but the point is the direct insinuation that it WAS ripped is the matter at hand here.

Holy shit, what a nasty ass thread we have here.

They have a stat site, it seems pretty convenient to have one on the forums. I hope we get one here sooner or later as well.

Hell, i wouldn't care if it was nothing more than a 'perma-link' to a damn stat site.

Damn, i think we need some x in the forum coolers. People are too bitchy around here lately...fuknuts.

Lets face the facts here it is an impressive site and will overtake covers sooner than later. The thing about covers is they have went stale, no major upgrades, ect.

BP,
Where did I accuse anyone of anything?
By all means, enlighten me.

I just found it odd that there was no press release.

All in all, I concur it's a very user-friendly app. The score applet is very smooth, the content is well the same as ESPN, there is a small collection of lines to compare ...

... it's easy to use, though IMHO not as useful to me personally as a more thorough sevice (like DB, GJ) is.

Thankfully JJ and someone else correctly identified the two sources of this type of information.

Unthankfully Shrinkie's first post suggests that and implores other's to try and find out if the material is being stolen. When in reality other sites are constantly looking for fresh material, it is more likely IMHO that any proprietary information Majorstats generates will be pilfered for elsewhere. Are you concerned Shrink?

SportsTicker & SportsNetwork actually have stringers in the arenas or they have direct contact to the scorers table for partial and finals. They don't do their own stats of course. Only a handful do: All the pro leagues, the NCAA, Elias, The AP and that could be it (need help here). ALL, ALL stats that show up on various sites, TV, newspapers, mags etc. are either copied or downloaded verbatim from one of these sources. NO BODY does there "own stats" they simply rearrange them to come out to something they deem important or different. Hard copy stories are out there by the thousands. Injuries follow no protocol i.e. gamblers, trainers, coaches, team managers, girlfriends, SID's, reporters, boosters, students, snoops etc. are all capable of breaking an injury story, intended or not. Weather is a real fraud unless you have a good source....ScottyS

As a top flight baseball handicapper and one who played the game at a high level I found nothing at ms that was revelant to handicapping the game. With my contacts stats arent very neccessary , but the 3 stats I do look for werent avaiable at Majorstats. Nor did I find bet 365 and there 20,30 cent lines of any use.

I would have never gave this subject the time of day but ttinco was making a constant issue out of it.

Minnow Fyi, I am NOT on the payroll here, and considering the Stanley Cup, World Series, Superbowl, and the last Nba Championship were all in SoCal within the last year I can more than afford my car payments.

Minnow = MajorFluffer

TTinco squirted out:
"RPM, I don't get it. "They" allow pretty much free speech "over there", but it can sometimes be like Hitler Germany over here."

Than...

Minnow fluffed:
"Lou, How's it going? I can barely remember that AgentX business, and even further back, whatever it was you were perma-banned for in the first place. I was afraid you had been Hollywooded away from this scene."

This thread has run its course and is now locked...

Many people have come in here and answered Railbird's concerns...

There are way too many personal assaults which is not the purpose of our website...

Copied & moved to the rubber room for those who want to continue...
