Most experts and talking heads agreed Ayton should have been the #1 overall pick at the time. Hindsight always 20/20.

I won't argue Ayton will ever be as valuable as Luka. But he's really starting to blossom and is in no way a bust. I like his game and IMO he will be a multi-year all-star caliber player. His defense is really improving. Freak athlete. Great mid-range game. And is just now adding the 3 ball to his arsenal.

I am going to answer you one time. You're simply a goon. But with that said, George wasn't the runner up in the MVP vote, he actually didn't even receive a single 1st place vote. Harden was 2nd and George was a far away 3rd. Second he lost in the first round of the play offs that year also.

One can make an argument for George, but one can't make an argument that you're not a goon.

I didn't know losing in the first round of the playoffs makes you not an elite NBA player.

The Suns will be a title contender within 3 years. This season they hardly ever had all their talent playing at the same time. Injuries. Ayton suspension for PED's. Etc. When they had everyone on the floor, they were a very respectable team. Finally got a coach in Monty Williams. Went 8-0 in the Bubble.

Barring an injury to Booker, I'd almost guarantee a playoff berth next season.

There is a difference between being very good or a fan boy of a player and a player actually being an elite nba player.

edit: Booker's teams suck because he along with Ayton play no defense. Nor does he have the capability to ever be more than a negative on the defensive side of the ball.

Yeah, Ayton was consensus. Would've taken some foresight/contrarian gumption to take Luka, fortune does favor the bold sometimes though. They hired 1 of his coaches from overseas before the draft too.

Ayton's solid, not sure he'll ever be a difference maker with how loaded the West is now though.

As far as George goes, he is playing god awful. 10/47 last 3 games, 4/25 from 3.....His game 6 @ Utah 2 years ago where he had 5pts on 2/16 shooting was atrocious as well.

Don't really change opinions on guys over small samples but he needs to step up.

Any other team takes that type of performance from their 2nd best player and they're in way worse trouble than LAC is right now, team is just so deep with offensive talent.

Luka is a great player. He was incredible today. Every time Dallas needed a play he made it.

If George is going to be tossing bricks the rest of series, the least he could do is play his typical lock down defense.

One of the top scorers, no doubt. His overall game is a work in progress. I think he will force his way out of Phoenix soon. Their owner is like Dolan but nobody pays attention to him or the team outside of Phoenix area.

Err....Igor Kokoskov was Doncic's coach on Slovenian national team. He was the Suns coach at the time of the draft.

Probably didn't have too much input on that decision.
