Fish, natural gas prices going up doesn't benefit CHK like other stable natural gas companies(Devon). They have had to do a major firesale of assets on the books just to keep the doors open. Their gas prices are locked in for years. Somebody may chew them up(buyout) sooner than later. Finally, my dad's estate has mineral rights that CHK has purchased, but they can't afford to drill. You should be looking at DVN. Good Luck

Fish, if you lived in OKC, you would have seen the writing on the wall concerning CHK(debt debt debt). At some point McClendon will have to sell his interest in the THUNDER. "Too big for his britches." Ego takes no prisoners! Sad.

Aubrey McClendon is one half of the scum of this Earth. Clay Bennett is the other half, obviously. Karma always comes back to bite you.

G Jefferson is a Perfect Human Being

Is this the same guy that has a oxycodone habit.

Yes I am the one with the OXYCONTIN addiction smartass. You must be the only one alive with no addictions or you are too much of a chicken s hit to post them. Instead you make fun of the guys who have enough guts to post their habits and addictions in here. Nice life you got. BTW, what does my addiction to Oxycontin have to do with being a Day Trader? I trade hundreds of thousands of dollars everyday and I have made a good enough living to support my wife and 3 children. I live in Bronxville New York in which I just paid off my 30 year mortgage in less than 10 years. Point being, I am an Oxycontin addict who works very hard and supports his family. I don't need to come in this forum and listen to some worthless POS make fun of a dedicated family man. Maybe you should look in the mirror and ask yourself how you can improve your own life.

Yeah, you have enough guts to post it in here to a bunch of strangers, but do you have enough guts to tell your 3 kids?

Just keep your life insurance up to date, you'll be dead in 10 years, then your wife can spend your insurance dough while she hooks up with someone who is still alive and he can finish raising your kids for you. They'll come visit your grave every year or so and say Hi. Sound nice? Pop another pill, that should kill the pain of that reality.

And you don't brag about living in Bronxville, you brag about moving out of Bronxville. Westchester County is the most corrupt (and overtaxed) county in the nation. People who live there aren't citizens, they are willing robbery victims.

If you lose $65000 in one day, who wins it?

If no one, where did it go?

Much Respect!... Hope you are on the road to beating that crap that the drugmaker pulled the wool over the FDAs eyes by saying it as not addictive that I think some of their CEOs are going to get stiff fines & jailtime for. With courage & guts like that I think you are well down the road to success.!... Hats off to you. :103631605

Daytrader...

You are correct. I shouldn't bring up a habit that is affecting you everyday. It was a cheap shot. I can only imagine the fear and hurt it causes you.

Good luck kicking it.
Your family needs you.

The marketmaker gets it.

I've had my ass handed to me on a plate over the last few days as well.

I have a buddy (thru betting sports) who quit sports and is starting to do this next week after years of debate about getting into this. He knows the style I use to make my plays which involves constant screen watching and trying to time the sports betting market to get peak numbers as he bet the same way and he thinks that if I got into trading stocks I would never turn back.

Ice, I agree with your friend. Your approach to sportsbetting would make the transition very easy for you.

A book I highly recommend: Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets.

TA presumes that all known information is reflected in the price action, which seems to be your take on the sportsbetting markets already. IMO, you'd be great at this.

If a stock price goes down then the person buying the stock at a lower price spends less to buy it. For example, if the stock price is at $100 one day and goes down to $60 the next day, the person buying the stock for $60 gets to keep $40 per share for the same number of shares. That person can then use that $40 per share to buy additional shares or commodoties or even to save it.

Are you sure?

What if everything is dropping and great wealth is being lost. From what you said great wealth is being made so there is never anything lost?

The wealth is effectively transferred out of the market. The market is only one part of the sum of wealth. That wealth includes real estate holdings, savings and other deposits, investments in bonds, commodoties, etc. that are not included in the stock market.

I trade the ES. Personally, I dont find the market any more difficult than earlier in the year. The only difference is the volatility. If 65k is too much for you to handle, perhaps scale down your size.

I've had my ups and downs in this market. It can drive you nuts, and I still haven't mastered emotions and pyschology of trading.

Going on tilt is a nasty thing in this market.
