*for* looking for used clubs. damn that title looks stupid. anyways...
what's good these days? I used to play alot, but i'm down to a handful per year. I've got a sad set of 15 year old clevelands I've been banging forever...but we are heading down to florida in a couple of weeks and I'm thinking of grabbing a fairly cheap set. no way i'm paying more than 5 hundy for irons...problem is I have no idea what to choose. stiff steel and no blades. i'm a high 70s to mid 90s clown.
ebay still the way to go?

How old are you? High 70s to 90s is a big range.

I would suggest a taylor made or Callaway cavity back.

used? cmon man, ,market is on fire, silver is unstoppable ..u have monies flowing out of your pockets. Drop some coin.

can get brand-new older generation for $500 easy , and quality clubs too. But I wouldnt be buying unless i hit them- go to your local golf store. They will have you hit all kinds of brands- see what ya like, in terms of feel, looks.

here's two candidates , as a heads up. The TaylorMades are under $500 brand new

The Taylormade M4's will cost a bit more than the M2's

^thx. ya, well used...used to cost like a dime for a pretty good set back in the day. figured there had to be oversaturation by now. lot of cheap sets around.

so 3 and sometimes even 4 irons aren't common in sets these days? weeeeekk. because of hybrid? my buddy still hits a 2 iron like 350 (played qb in college if that matters)

definitely try your local golf store tho. They may have some serious deals, may through in a hybrid, etc

G400 irons and drivers are at a steal right now

I've been looking these over as well...lots of bids on these sets. I never hit pings that well when I tried, but i'm tempted to go this way if I can slide at or under 400

If you are not going to get fitted make sure you check the color dot system before you buy. Black is neutral. I use to swing pings and my fitting was blue, +1/2", shafts stepped soft.
