Super Casino

Never heard of this one before. Online review makes it look good. Going to borrow it from the library sometime

It's too bad it's been 20 years and The Odds and Smart Money still haven't been topped.

Surprised Lay the Favorite hasn't been mentioned yet. Not great, but there's not much else out there for sports betting.

One I just found online and am going to read, has the perfect title to hook me: The perfect bet: how science and math are taking the luck out of gambling

Super Casino is not as good as the other three and it's a very long book. But I remember liking it.

The Man with the 100,000 Breasts and Other Gambling Stories......something like that......was a good read as well and written by Michael Konik, the same guy that ran for Walters and wrote Smart Money. One story was about a homeless guy that bummed $10 panhandling, and turned into a million in one night after roulette, craps, and blackjack. Stayed like 8 nights in a presidential suite and proceeded to lose everything but 40K. A pit boss even begged him to leave and keep the 40K, but he lost that too. They kicked him out and he was back to panhandling.

The best book I've ever read is Mastering the Trade by John Carter. That guy is the Billy Walters of trading and you will learn a ton.

Thanks guys. My first book order in a long time is in. The consensus seemed to agree "The Odds" was a standard so went with that. TomG intrigued me with "The Perfect Bet" and then one informational read, "Video Poker for the Intelligent Beginner." I'm sure its nothing groundbreaking but made a couple "best of" lists. Who knows, maybe I'll become a slot guy...(Just shoot me in the face now, please.)

I'll let you know if anything was a must read.

Was "Big Daddy" Billy Walters?
