I knew I had at least one of the stories. This one is from Jake who was a young kid who had moved to Vegas. He is the same Jake that Krackman punched in the M sportsbook a few years ago:

What's that JJ? You want to hear an OG story? Sure. Let me tell you one that I have been told some men who are very experienced in the strip club scene have never heard of.

It was my first week in Vegas. I moved here Dec 1. I had already made around 10k with my college totals and was looking to spend it. So I'm playing poker at the Bellagio and drinking heavily. I think I had around a dime on me. I can't recall exactly now but I did not win nor lose much playing 2-5 but got pretty sauced none the less. The more I drink, the more I want to have sex. So I took a cab to the OG.

I get there and immediately sit in a booth. This meant I was there for business. In comes a nice short tight Asian girl by the name of Lillibeth. She sits on my lap and asks why I'm by myself. I told her because I don't want my friends to see me fucking you. In any other club, I probably would have been slapped. But not at the OG, these sluts are prostitutes pretending to be strippers. She says hold on, let me get a condom. She slips it in all discreet and acts like she is just giving me a lapdance. We are going for a few minutes and I tell her that the sex sucks, we should just get a hotel room so I can do more. She instructs me that she can't leave with me and to go to the gas station and wait for her. So she picks me up and we start driving. She took all my money already and I needed more. At the time, I was living with Baker until my new bed was shipped to my off the strip bachelor bad. I needed her to take me all the way to Antham to get me some more money. It was easily a 25 minute drive, even at 3am. I couldn't believe it, she actually obliged.

So there I am at Bakers house with no key. I had to ring the door bell a few times, wake him up, and run upstairs to get some more money. I told him what was going on and he found it hysterical.

We drive back to the strip and decide on the Hilton. I thought ahead. I wanted to bet some totals in the morning.

So then we realize we don't have any condoms. She said it didn't matter. I said it did. The sundries store was closed so I had to buy some at the gas station across the street. We finally get back to the room and do our business. We go to sleep (I have found that girls you brought back from their place of work and that know you are a local are a lot less likely to cross you). She wakes me up in the morning and asks if I want to go again. She even said it was free. How could I pass that up.

So then we go down to the book and I bet some totals. I swear to God, I bet on 3 totals and they moved each one 4 points. I couldn't believe it. I almost bet the other side for the middle but didn't want to get kicked out.

So there I was with no car and needing to get back to Antham to bet the games online. I convinced Lillibeth to take me back. She made me giver her gas money and we went to the Krispy Kreme drive through for coffee and donuts. That was the deal. I even brought some back for Baker.

Probably 4 times a night for the next 2 weeks I would get mass text messages from Lillibeth asking where I was, what I was doing etc. Each one was automatically followed by her name. It became a running joke and eventually a bet with 'The Nuts' that we had to end every take message with Lillibeth. After a while, I got fed up with the whore texting me at all hours, I told her to knock it off.

I still see her at the OG but she knows I haven't been interested since I told her "I'm not going Asian tonight."

More stories to come JJ. Would anyone like to hear about the time I bet The Nuts a nickle I could drink 4 witchdoctors in one hour at the Voodoo lounge (12 shots/drink)?

Great story. I knew I was missing out on a lot not living in Vegas.

Yes, I'd like to hear about the witchdoctors. I've never even heard of them. Please continue...

Megacapper I think I am some what responsible for the path Baker ended up..... although something else in life may have started him down the wrong path later.

He worked for me as my assistant. One night some gambling information I was printing got jammed in the copier. In the process I left some stuff behind. He asked me about it. That was the start of it.

We were doing some betting offshore with nothing very big. Our bankroll was probably down to less than $50. That is about the time we switched gears. He had started working on a totals program. He combined that with some money management stuff I wrote along with some that he had worked on at a different career. I think our bankroll offshore went from $50 to about $30,000 in about 3 weeks or less. We would place bets at Pinnacle and watch the line move 2 or 3 points. Not often do you feel more power than hitting send and watch the line move.

What I didnt know was there was a bunch of other stuff going on that he was involved in that wasnt very good that i found out about later.

Last time I saw him was in a parking lot and I handed him an envelop full cash. We were making money it seemed like every week. Then boom....out of site and never returned my call or saw him again. Rumor was he was off to Vegas.

If he would have stayed the course and worked with me we could have been a dynamic duo. I had all kind of ideas and he could research them. He is a very smart guy but he didn't want to go slow and steady. Wanted to go fast and furious.

Couple fun facts: his uncle is one of the richest people in world (if I told you who he is and the company he started everyone on the forum would know the company).

Second is the nickname Baker came from being on ESPN long before his gambling days.

Interesting. I worked with him quite a bit. No doubt he was very sharp. We made a ton of money. Of course he still owes me a lot of it. He just had a huge dark side. Bank robbery now Ecstasy distribution. A lot of other vices sandwiched between. It was really a waste.

Megacapper I spent some time on LVA...From what I recall this is at the height of the bonus, scalping, arbing boom and it wasn't really a lot of deep dives into sports betting. This is before proprietary data about the players/teams was really avail.

It was more about "earning" rather than "capping" or analyzing sports I felt like. More about how to navigate the bonanza world of the offshore.

Like Fezzik would have picks but his bread and butter was all the other stuff.

I didnt know about the bank robbery until long after he left for Vegas. I can say I started him out because he knew nothing about sports gambling. He definitely caught the bug. I know I taught him at least some very good information and where the advantages are. I think it is with totals and he seemed to stick to that or work on using that for his stuff. I used to pooh pooh ideas that didnt seem logical or would throw out ideas that I thought could be worth exploring. He would stay up all night researching it or running simulations.

I remember we were staying at someones cabin on a golf weekend. We were drinking and playing cards. The subject of personality types came up. He said his personality was the same as Hannibal Lecter. We all laughed but he was adamant and told us again that is what his was. Looking back and knowing what I know now.....probably answer alot of questions.

He could have been successful if he used his talents without robbing banks, or dealing drugs or some of the other things he got involved in.

both are gone

There were other spinoffs that survived a little bit longer. The rumor (which I believe), is that Stephan Paddock was an occasional poster and the people in charge wanted it all gone because of that.

Absolutely correct. There were a lot of sharp guys there but not a lot of picks or handicapping. Forums like Rx were much better to find handicapping insight. Of course a lot of those guys raided the other forums and hired a lot of good handicappers to originate for them.

Yeah, you could learn a lot from the site content but it wasn't really the type of place to go if you actually enjoyed sports. If that makes sense.

Do you remember Marty from there? He was an ex-engineer and big baseball bettor. That is back when I followed baseball still, he was 1 of the main posters there.

Yes I think I do remember Marty. It was a good forum. Totally different focus but entertaining and informative. I met a lot of good people through that forum.
