I make my all-beef hotdogs in a frying pan, and make sure to cook them until the outside is nice & crispy (and, cancerous, I guess). I always add diced onions as the texture & taste are just great.

Even if they say "beef", you don't want to know what parts of the "beef" they are using in them.
