That was crazy. I couldn't believe my eyes when he did it for the 3rd time.

And if Napier opted to punt in that situation? And the snapper does #4? And they lose? He gets absolutely roasted for that.

I think the move there. As hard as it was in the situation, was to go for it on 4th down. Tough situation to be in as a coach.

The goofball move was taking a 35-40 yard safety with 1:48 or so to go. That was really crazy.

Come on guys, the right coaching call moving forward is to give Sara Fuller the long snapper job.

Definitely. I couldn't believe my eyes that time either. Only up 5 with still a lot of time.

Anyone else watching this? Never seen anything like it. Unbelievable.

Yes 11/15/2005 BG at Miami

3 Safeties 1 fumble 5 INTs and a 4th bad snap that wasn't a safety

I disagree. The right move was to run the ball on third down to keep the clock moving or burn their last TO them have the QB take the longest route to a safety. This way you still get to kick off with a 3 point lead and force them to go get first downs.

the stupid part was throwing on third IF going to do what he did on 4th.

Think about this

The underdog on the road snaps 3 punts over the punters head , botched an XP snap.
Gave the other team a free 2 points on a safety when they were up only 5 just so they would not have to punt again .

After all that the underdog on the road still wins straight up .

Yes very dumb to pass right there on 3rd down.

Even worse UL’s senior QB was getting pressure on that 3rd down. Instead of just taking a sack and forcing App St to burn a TO he throws the ball away.

Why not take the sack?

I don't think it was the right call either. They're pretty lucky that App St. missed that 30 yard fg.

Btw, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I clicked on the link to read the article and that's the first time I saw that hs kid from Texas attack the ref. That is brutal

But they didn't run the ball on 3rd down. It was fourth down. The clocked was stopped.

You just made the boneheaded call of throwing on 3rd down. Can't take it back. What do you do now?
