gyno do a before and after in the leopard shirt.

Would be off the charts.

That shirt is buried somewhere in my room. I have the rescue mission coming to pick up some clothes next week so I'll probably find it.

Maybe I should give it to them.. lol

Gabe, keep up the solid work. I moderate over at bodybuilding.com so if you want, join up, and send me a PM (or email me anytime).

Glycemic Index, learn it.

You cant be serious about this can u? Trust me, I am 33 and know my fair share of knowledge about nutrition. When people talk about glycemic index , I just roll my eyes. I understand what it is, but the difference in eating brown rice and white rice is so out of control, it is crazy. You are basically splitting hairs at this point.

Instead of worrying about the GI....how about worrying about getting your but in the gym at least 3 times a week and do a fullbody workout that consists of the following and no substitutions....

MONDAY / WEDNESDAY / FRIDAY (3sets @ 6-10reps)

CHEST - INCLINE DB OR BB PRESS
BACK - DEADLIFT OR BENT OVER BB ROW
TRICEPS - CLOSE GRIP BENCH PRESS OR WEIGHTED DIPS
BICEPS - INCLINE DB CURL OR STANDING BB CURL
LEGS - FRONT SQUAT OR BACK SQUAT
SHOULDERS - ARNOLD PRESS OR DB OVERHEAD PRESS
CORE WORK - ABS....3X25....WEIGHTED IF YOU CAN...INCLINED IF U CAN.

After getting disciplined with that....then you can really start to split hairs with their diet. I see so many people (including myself before)...that start with trying to lose weight, that they get so out of control with counting every single sugar, calorie, fat gram, etc....that they just get frustrated and quit.....

Just do this....go to the gym 3 times a week...fullbody workouts....try to eat a little better at first....After your begin to see some changes , that will im sure motivate you to eat better, and then it will snowball into doing everything better. DONT BEGIN WITH TRYING TO CRITIQUE EVERY-SINGLE-THING.....

Hope that helps....basically, dont worry about the GI and shit like that.....not now at least.

Get use to eating oatmeal in the AM,low fat milk and some honey. Drink OJ with your oatmeal.
There is something in the molecules of OJ that makes oatmeal better at soaking up the fat and grease in your intestines.
Eat raw brocley, carrots, celery. These are like scrubbing foods that like scrubs last years pepperoni from your intestinal walls.

Cinnamon is great to put on oatmeal too. If you can afford them, put blueberries in your oatmeal too. One of the best foods you can eat. Also drink lots of water. You would always feel full and less apt to snack.

Gynocologist,

Thx for the kind words. Oklahoma gets a bad rap but is really pretty good place to live. Hope you are still going strong. If you can get by without the cheat day then more power to you, personally, I cant, but some people do. I weighed 307 lbs last month. To maintain that weight I could consume over 4k calories per day. Ive cut my calories to 2500/day and excercise 6 days/week with the cheat day on food. I have lost 17 lbs and am now at 290 lbs. If you can cut to 1k or 1100 cals/day more power to you, youll lose weight faster. My brother can do this but I tried and I cant succeed for more than 2 or 3 days and then Im ravenous and gain more than I started with. If you are working out Id probably eat more than that. It depends on your current weight. Dr Oz (from Oprah Show) has a great book called "You on a Diet." Its great. Just be careful, too few of calories can be bad too, so find your middle ground..if theres anything I can do to help or encourage let me know, take care

I kind of cheated on Saturday Night.

I did good all day, but went to dinner with a couple of friends and probably consumed about 900 calories with that meal. Then went to the movies and ate some popcorn.

Other than that though I've been extremely disciplined.. Thanks man and I should probably get that book from Dr.Oz. I'm a big fan of his.. Believe a lot of what he says.

Diabetes really sucks. It can be hereditary or through lifestyle. It will be the disease you will be hearing more and more about.
