btw Mj -

we gotta work on your money managment skills....$300 to Parsons to hold the money.....:WTF:it'll be biggest blow-out in 43 years

Did I offer $300?

I don't remember...I'm sure I had my reason at the time. It made sense for me to lock in the deal without delay...or you would scamper off and I wouldn't even get a shot at what should already be mine.

I'd call it shrewd...like a fox...or a jew even. No offense.

To Eek and others with enquiring minds...

I am currently holding $1100 which was sent to my by Jdog in connection with his previous wager with MJ.

After all the bickering was done, the two parties grudgingly agreed to the following:

If Obama wins the election, Jdog gets back $1000 of the $1100 he has sent me. The other $100 is for me for my mediating services (which Jdog gave on his own -- I did not ask for it). I will give that $100 back to the forum in some form or another, not sure how just yet.

If Obama does not win the election (this includes him getting assassinated beforehand, Hillary stealing the nomination, McCain dying and getting replaced by a republican that takes the country by storm, or simply McCain or anyone else winning the election), then MJ gets $800 of the $1100 and I keep the other $300 for my mediating services (again, I did not ask for this -- MJ and Jdog generously offered $200 and $100 respectively). Again, I will not keep the $300. I will give it back to the forum in a manner to be determined.

If there is no election, or if it is postponed in such a way that Bush's term is extended, then I don't know what happens. Let's assume for now that this won't be the case.

My understanding is that Jdog will front me the money again on the bet he is proposing here and he expects his opponent to do the same. I will then pay the whole amount to the winner, less whatever you guys would like to pay me for my services which I will then donate back to the forum somehow.

So you don't have to trust Jdog, then, but you do have to trust me. I'm not terribly concerned however this thing pans out. I offer my mediation services to help out. I'd sooner rot in hell then run away with money that isn't mine, but you guys can't know that since I'm just a bunch of letters on the internet to you. I'm confident Jdog will keep up his end of the bargain, for what that's worth.

actually as I stated before, I don't mind doing up to $300 on a gentlemans agreement, depending on the poster, without having to "post up" with DP - anything more probably best for both parties to front the cash

best regards

thejdog

PS - odds are now up to McCain +200

Thanks for the recap Darryl Parsons.

For the forum, may I suggest that if I win it might be nice to use the $300 towards a one way ticket from Minneapolis to Europe for gtc08?

It's the least we can do to help out the poor fella.

May I also suggest Georgia as the destination?...I think he would be happiest there. :missingte
