Here's what i think about your situation.
Betpanam owes YOU your money and should pay you.
If he does pay your money to the book that was nice enough to offer you the bailout.I think that 10x's rollover should be turned back into their normal rollover policy.Since they gave you that rollover for an $4000 cash deposit not a $8000 deposit.
Not that i think he will ever pay the $4000 to jake, unless they owe that book some cash!
I have a couple of e-mails that was answered by Mr Walker...that turned out to be all lies.
Unless I get paid off this week..

Think i should start holding my breath??

Ivan,

A $4000 bonus with a 10 roll is a far cry from $4000 in the bank. Whatever deal you cut with Jake, has no bearing on your dealings with panam. Bill owes you the $4000, not Jake. And if Bill tries ikn anyway to claim that he now owes the money to Jake instead of you, it would simply remove any remaining doubt that Bill is a scammer and a thief.

YES I AGREE WITH YOU. MR WALKER IS LYING RIGHT TO MY FACE AND LAUGHING ABOUT IT IN HIS EMAILS (I ASSUME SO)...

YES I AGREE WITH YOU HERE. OF COURSE I WOULD TAKE THE $4000+ FROM BETPANAM THE LAST 11.5 WEEKS AGO IF I COULD. 10X ROLLOVER OF $80,000 IS ALOT... CONSIDERING I BET STRAIGHT UP, WHICH WILL TAKE PROBABLY THE ENTIRE NBA AND NHL PLAYOFFS.

I RECEIVE ANOTHER EMAIL FROM OUR GOOD FRIEND AT BETPANAM:

Can't I get a check or get paid a small amount from my $4101 balance?

SHOULD I ASSUME THIS MR. BILL WALKER IS GOING TO STIFF ME AND OTHERS WHO TOOK A BAILOUT AT SPORTBET AS AN EXCUSE NOT TO PAY?

I talked to customer service @ betpanam this morning. They assured me that my check would be sent out tomorrow morning. I will be calling them for my tracking number tomorrow AM. Thank God this is finally coming to an end. If you are owed money, I reccomend calling Liz Rose this week and give her a hard luck story. Tell her you were promised your payout in february. If you are owed a substantial amt. of money, I get the feeling that you will have to wait awhile. From what i gather, if you were a big winner, you are essentially being punished by the management there. They are going to make you wait. I will post again, when I physically have my check in hand. Good luck!

How do I get hold of Lizzy Rose. I've emailed her numerous times and I've never got a reply from her.

sounds like they are planning on staying open... their feeling now is it is better to piss of 25 to 50 people owed large sums of money than to piss off 100's of people owed smaller amounts.

this is the stand up thing to do (sarcastic)

you think they only owe 25-50 people large amounts? i'd think it would be more than that.

50 people owed $15-$20K each is $750,000 to $1,000,000 owed to the large amount players.

500 people owed < $1000 is $500,000 owed to small amount players

so if they owed in total of 1.5 million to 550 people and they could make 500 people happy and piss off 50 they would do it.

that's what stand up guys do (again sarcastic)

From what I have gathered they is little chance they owe 50 players anything in those upper ranges. Part of their problem was that big players came in and hit them hard and took out a lot of money. Word gets around very fast to the biggest players when a book doesn't want your action and I would guess at least some of the decision to stall like this was realizing that they lost to these sharper players and they had no chance to win it back since most had already taken out their money. Not to mention at those levels of play a lot of players wouldn't play with a new book unless it was on credit. I would guess Ivan and anyone near 5 dimes left would be among their biggest liabilities left to pay.

The Panamian Gaming Commission and its management of this crisis has qualified Panama as the average unregulated jurisdiction. They have had the opportunity to raise well above other jurisdictions and failed. Panama will not be the new Mecca for the Offshore Gaming Industry. On the other hand Australia remains the safest jurisdiction for players.

No one is going to Australia so obviously safety isn't important enough to overcome the onerous restrictions, the always chaging attitudes of the politicians, and the high cost of doing this business there. I think this couldn't be made clearer than what happened to Canbet.

As for Panama, whether the government did anything or not this was the master license wasn't it? I can't imagine people would have seen it positively if the thing came out perfectly considering the people who started the idea of the industry there went out of business in less than a year. The industry might still trickle into there. Still I don't think gaming commissions will ever become big draws or have the powers that people on here want, at least until a lot of bettors here absolutely demand it. By sending your money to Pinnacle or Olympic you are choosing safety, but you are also condoning less than tight regulations.
