Based on Mel's numbers ...

33 entries = $396 pool

prize payouts = $344.92 (13% takeout apparently)

payout structure:
1st paid $172.46, (13-1)
2nd paid $86.23, (6-1)
3rd paid $51.74, (3-1)
4th paid $34.49, (2-1)

Also, according to Jack, any winnings of $600 on the year are taxable. Which is something you need to know.

I'm just supplying numbers, not my opinion on what any player should do. That is an individual thing.
yeah it's any profits over $600 for the year. so if you deposit 1K and win $1500 back total no taxes. THx for the rundown Prof.

Thanks, Prof. I kinda like my chances at the track better. Seems to me that 13-1 against 33 'cappers, probably most pretty damned good isn't so great. Am I right about sharp 'cappers chasing these things. Not that I wouldn't throw my hat in with anyone but I'm guessing that it's tough to come out on top of 33 guys.

the thing is for $12 or less you get action on 8 to 12 races. the bang for the buck you can not beat it. But understand you concerns. alot of sharks play tourneys

Well that's a fitting end to my day. THe #1 wins at 29-1 and the #11 with Peter Miller and Rosario and by far the highest Beyer can't find his way to close into second. One stinkin' day at the races.

-263.50 -44.00 = -307.50

(- $307.50)
