Live handicapping Monday 2/20/23

Went to the track yesterday. Laughed a lot with old buddies. Hit a nice exacta (9/2 / 13-1) (2x) with the two Ortiz brothers on first time turf horses. And had a better one (6-1 / 12-1) (2x) taken down at Laurel for an infraction out of the gate. (And cost me a round of beers ordered at the bar before the objection sign went up!) How many times do you see infractions off the break taken down? Killed my chance at a really good day. Bastards.

Looked through my Racing Form for today. Not seeing a whole lot I love. So it's gonna be a grind for me today. Miss the turf races at Tampa and Gulf.

Gonna really try to stick to full and complete race handicapping before I pull the trigger today. I lose my discipline here too often. It should help that I did a lot of handicapping for a couple of hours early this morning. There are some really junky races today. Sometimes they present the best handicapping opportunities. Sometimes!

And I do see a horse I like alot. The #1 in the first at Laurel. Hoping for at least 1-1. Might step in.
