The brain dead Repubs acted like the scandal would wreck the Dems, when, in fact, the Dems GAINED seats in 2000:

Political commentators, however, have argued that Gore's refusal to have Clinton campaign with him was a bigger liability to Gore than Clinton's scandals.[SUP][34][/SUP][SUP][36][/SUP][SUP][37][/SUP][SUP][38][/SUP][SUP][39][/SUP] The 2000 US Congressional election also saw the Democrats gain more seats in Congress.[SUP][40][/SUP] As a result of this gain, control of the US Senate was split 50-50 between both parties,[SUP][41][/SUP] and Democrats would regain control over the US Senate after Republican Senator Jim Jeffords defected from his party in the spring of 2001 and agreed to caucus with the Democrats.

Are you sure what I'm talking about now?

I got it the first time, I pointed to the minimal gains in my post (4 Senate and 1 in congress. Your point was Clinton and the Dems benefitted from the impeachment. You also acknowledged that Gore distanced himself from Clinton and many democrats followed, hardly a ringing endorsement of the facts in your post. I think you made my point unless you call losing the presidency, picking up 4 Senate and 1 Congressional seat helpful. I believe it was known as Clinton fatigue.

I personally wouldn't pay 1 penny to watch her channel, but, if she wants her own show and has people to support it, then good for them. That's their right.

Yep, PT Barnum had it right. And Carnival Barkers like Palin will continue to fleece the marks, that are always glad to be fleeced.

To quote Andy Dufresne in "Shawshank Redemption," how can you be so obtuse? I SAID the Republican schmucks were acting like the Dems would get crushed in all areas, when in fact they picked up some seats in Congress. Under the circumstances, a gain of ANY amount repudiates that stance, which you'd realize if you didn't have your head buried up your ass. You also conveniently ignored the comment about Gore's stubbornly refusing Clinton's aid being, in the opinion of many, myself included, as being a greater factor than the "scandal." Last, but not least, let's not pretend that the presidency was any kind of mandate for the Repubs, far from it, for many people it fit into the "stolen presidency" category-and the upshot of all of that was, as NBA players likes to say, "Ball don't lie" when a horrendously bad foul is called and the "fouled" player promptly misses the foul shot-that we got arguably the worst president in American history as a result of the theft.

This July 4th, Sarah Palin celebrated America by announcing that she is quitting the Internet-teevee-channel grift, because quitting is what Sarah Palin does best. In video and text announcements on the Sarah Palin Channel, Governor Quitterface declared that as of August 1, anyone can consume premium, previously paywalled Palin content, because Sarah Palin is getting rid of her paywall for freedom, and not because the Sarah Palin Channel was an economic failure, heavens no.
Palin’s video announcement tries to strike an upbeat tone, the way your folks did when they first told you that Fluffy would be living at a farm upstate, where he would have all sorts of room to run and chase chickens, doesn’t that sound fun for Fluffy? Here is Palin’s statement in full, annotated with relevant links to the Fartknocker Archives:
Hey, I wanna thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, and to let you know personally that we’re making all of my content free now! It’s starting August 1st, everything’s free, and just to let you know, that it is an honor to have you subscribe, really it’s been so illuminating and still is so illuminating to read and to respond to many of your insightful comments about current events, about so many things goin’ on in our world today.
Now, it is with an important presidential election comin’ up that we are gonna do this. I just want to make sure that your voices and mine are heard by the widest possible audience across this great land of ours. I really look forward to continuing to hear your ideas and your dreams and your solutions for America. I’m going to share my own too, keep doin’ this on Facebook and SarahPAC.com, and on the road as we confront these critical choices that we have in 2016.
Members can find additional information about their subscriptions by clicking on the link below this video. Just know that it means so much that we’re taking this journey together. So, keep the conversation going, let’s keep at it, keep the faith, and I thank you.
When Yr Wonket first took on the terrible burden of The Fartknocker Report, Presented By Fartknocker, we did not believe this day would ever come. But our day of deliverance has arrived, and Yr Wonket is overjoyed, for not only does the dissolution of the paywall obviate the purpose of the Fartknocker Report, but also it means that Yr Wonket was right, dammit, and that we have made good on our early promise to watch the lights go out in the Sarah Palin Channel’s eyes.
We are now off to find a buxom nurse, who we will dip and kiss deeply on the mouth, but not in a rapey way this time. We would like to thank Fartknocker for financing this experiment, Editrix, Kaili, and Evan for putting up with Yr Wonket, and all of you for opening up your maws each weekend, that we might cram some more freedom down your progressive socialist throats.
August 1 shall henceforth be known as the day of Grifterdämmerung, the day when the Grifter Princess of the Permafrost finally proved that you can’t fool all of the morons all of the time. Like cigarettes, America will still consume Palin-flavored content from time to time when we are drunk. But it is no longer 2008, and we have grown stronger as a people, and Sarah Palin no longer feels like an extension of our right-most political appendage.
Good work getting through this with us, America. We’re proud of you.

Sarah Palin Launches Her Own Channel Online

Sarah Palin – former governor of Alaska, erstwhile candidate for VP of the U.S. and polarizing public figure – has unveiled a new subscription-based Internet TV network that promises direct access to her and her supporters.
The Sarah Palin Channel, which costs $9.95 per month or $99.95 for a one-year subscription, will feature her commentary on “important issues facing the nation,” as well as behind-the-scenes looks into her personal life as “mother, grandmother, wife and neighbor.” Palin serves as executive editor, overseeing all content posted to the channel.
“I want to talk directly to you on our channel, on my terms — and no need to please the powers that be,” Palin, who is also a Fox News contributor, said in a video announcing the channel. “Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”
Palin is producing the channel in partnership with Tapp, the online-video venture formed by Jeff Gaspin, former chairman of NBCUniversal Television, and Jon Klein, former president of CNN U.S.
The conservative pol’s online network is modeled on TheBlaze, the online-video network and website that ex-Fox News host Glenn Beck launched in 2011. TheBlaze TV is now also carried on Dish Network and regional cable systems.
Subscribers to the Sarah Palin Channel will have the ability to post their own videos to the website, submit questions to her, and participate in online video chats with her and other subscribers. Active U.S. military members can subscribe free of charge, according to Tapp. The site includes a national debt ticker, and a countdown clock showing the number of days left in President Obama’s second term.
Gaspin, Klein and co-founder Michael Greer, former CTO of The Onion, announced Tapp in March 2014. The company’s first channel is Steve Arterburn’s New Life TV, hosted by the relationship counselor and radio host. According to Tapp, the Arterburn channel became profitable less than four months after launching.
Tapp investors include Discovery Communications and individuals including investment bankers Ken Moelis and Peter Ezersky. They were recently joined by Luminari Capital, a venture fund founded by Daniel Leff focused on digital video investments.
Other TV personalities that have jumped to the Internet include ex-CNN host Larry King, who now has an online talk show produced with Ora.tv, and Katie Couric, who joined Yahoo as global news anchor. Paula Deen, who lost her show on Food Network after racial comments that she made came to light, is planning to launch her own cooking channel online this fall.
