Agree Culpeper will be riding the pines or the Hospital bed. He will eventually get drilled running around like he does. I don't care how big he is. He has quite the temper and can get rattled easily. I see no surprise from this team.

Im telling ya guys, Atlanta rises in the NFC this year. My Bucs will probably have a letdown year after winning Bowl, and the fire just probably be there this year. Eagles lost key players, and wont be as dominate. Only other threats are Rams and possibly the Saints.Rams may have a comeback year.........we'll just have to wait and see how it unfolds!......

Stone Cold:

Talking about Favre, what do you think of Saints #2? Maybe the question is not related, but I'd like to discuss if Brooks is the right man for a defense that needs to improve on SPEED. Is this the guy? I know #'s are not the same, but would you compare the Saits' QB with his cousin Vick?

Hache man;

I have to agree with you. M. Vick has grown more comfortable in his position, not only is he a great QB, he is one more RB on the field. The combination is a highly unpredictable offense.

If N.O. works on their speed, we might have a Saints that make it deep in the post-season this year.

But I wouldn't count out McNabb, the kid has proven to have steel balls and to be a good team player

McNabb is a winner. Perhaps as the offense grows with him, we will achieve our rightful place.

Walk, assasin, I just dont feel Philly's D will be quite as strong with those key losses, and the new stadium could do one of two things.......Eagles could perform even better with the excitement of the new stadium, much like Tampa did years ago, or just the opposite. As for Atlanta, as I mentioned before, they are young and hungry, similar to Tampa years ago. The only difference is, when Tampa was young, they had to deal with the powers of Green Bay and Rams at the time. Tampa and Philly are still goind to be dominant possibly, but not on the level of those 2 teams mentioned above when Tampa was up~and~coming, so Atlanta doesnt have to fight off such powerful teams like Bucs did. Also, addition of Peerless Price at Wideout makes Falcon offense even more dangerous now, and that is saying a lot.

I agree about the new stadium. History shows NFL teams movig to nice cushy stadiums have lost some of the home field edge. NO 700 level, no lousy turf. No advantage. With the open portion of the stadium, I think some of the crowd noise may be lost as well.
I will miss HUgh on Defense, I thought he was a leader. Hope to be better in the middle, but OLB will be tough to replace his big plays. Brain Mitchell signed his new deal aso hopefully he will play balls to the wind and kick some ass.
I think the Eagles record may suffer, I have them 9-7 or 10-6 this year. It will be tough to win on the road.

The biggest positive is the return of Corel Buckholter, if he is healthy at RB. Love Duce, but he just can't get it done all the time.

Go Eagles.

Falcons will be EXTREMELY STRONG

Buccs will have another solid year...I think winning it all has only made thier hunger stronger..Gruden will not let them lighten up.

Mr.Kennedy - Steelers should have gone with Tee Martin 2 years ago.

Of course I'm gonna be rooting for my Eagles but I'm a little nervous about this year.

Vikings will be better than people expect. McNair is gonna get back on track andI think Tice is a good coach that willhave everybody ready to roll.

Yeah Assasin, I forgot about Buckholter. But, I kind of compare that Philli line now to Jacksonville's years ago, when you could put any running back you could find behing that o~line and they would find holes and do well.

8:

Have to disagree about the Buccs. Records show the reigning champions are usually up for letdown games at the beginning of the season.

You have a team with a great defense and a solid strategy, but will they be able to win games based solely on defense after a couple of upsets? The way I see it they ran all over the Raiders, but the raiders are a team with an impressive offense but virtually no defense.

It will take a lot of dedication and discipline to beat teams with strong defense and offense, such as the Dirty Birds.

Buccs go down early this year.

Walk - I hear what your saying but I think Gruden makes a big difference. I hate the guy with a passion but man I gotta respect him and his ability to prepare his teams. Should be interesting to see what happens.

Stone Cold - The reason I asked is because Culpepper has now played three seasons. He sat in his first season. He has BETTER numbers than both Favre and Elway had in their first three seasons. And, Elway and Favre played on better teams in their first three seasons. Culpepper, when given a good team to play with (his first season) produced outstanding numbers. But, all together (all three seasons) he has better numbers than the other two. Can he maintain that? Who knows, but I would bet on it.

I bleed Green and Gold and despise the Queens but they will be much, much improved this year and Culpepper will have a huge year. Green Bay will take a step back this year (potentially) and the Vikings always play GB tough and could actually beat them in both meetings. They always beat them in Minnesota and have had them beaten each of the past two years in GB, before losing in the end.

These are each qb's stats after their first three seasons.

G COM PCT YDS TD INT TD/INT RATIO RUSH YDS RUSH TD'S
FAVRE 47 62.4% 10412 70 51 1.37 616 4
ELWAY 42 53.4% 8152 47 52 0.90 636 2
CULPEPPER 44 62.3% 10402 65 52 1.25 1501 22

And remember, Culpepper's teams have been terrible compared to Favre's and Elway's teams who were 26-22 (Favre) and 33-15 (Elway) while Culpepper's teams were 22-26. And, remember, when Culpepper had a good team his first year he had outstanding numbers - 33-16 td/int ratio and rushed for 7 td's and had a qb rating of 98.0.

And let's not forget Favre had pretty average years in '99 and '00 when the Packers were basically a .500 team, having a 42-39 td/int ratio, completing just about 57.5% of his passes and having a qb rating of about 75, which is basically what Culpepper has done the past two years on much worse teams.

6th: I think you said it all about Dante C.

Don't see them over 500 this year either. Sorry. Had Robert Smith never retired they would have been a much better team.
