The title of this thread reminds me of a famous song andits lyrics from the past, "Let's Get Physical."

Perhaps someone should start a separate thread with this title and discuss the merits of these lyrics: lol

I'm saying all the things that I know you'll like
Makin' good conversation
I gotta handle you just right
You know what I mean
I took you to an intimate restaurant
Then to a suggestive movie
There's nothin' left to talk about
Unless, it's horizontally
Let's get physical, physical
I wanna get physical, let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
Let's get physical, physical
I wanna get physical, let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
I've been patient, I've been good
Tried to keep my hands on the table
It's gettin' hard, this holdin' back
You know what I mean
I'm sure you'll understand my point of view
We know each other mentally
You gotta know, that you're bringin' out the animal in me
Let's get physical, physical
I wanna get physical, let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
Let's get physical, physical
I wanna get physical, let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
Let's get physical, physical
I wanna get physical, let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
Let's get animal, animal
I wanna get animal, let's get into animal
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk"

I can get behind this.
So if a thread is started of this nature, it would seem to me that the most logical question would be who would each of us want to

"get physical" with and why including if one wanted to specify, which physical parts of the bodies of the folks involved

would be called upon for duty to achieve satisfy their physical needs and why!! :)

My wish list is too long to fit in one post?

More questions...do you like watching baseball and do you like rules that speed up games - like the automatic runners on 2nd in overtime and only 7 innings for doubleheaders?

I may be in the minority but as a baseball fan (and Sox diehard) since 1952 at age 8, my answer to your questions is a resounding NO!!

I love games that used to go into extra innings and watching the strategy of managers to try to win it as well of course of

seeing how/if hitters can come through in the clutch!!!

If the game goes on for lots of innings before the game is decided, no problem-I love it and find it totally engrossing to watch

it on tv and watch how everything plays out!!

I can and understand and agree with speeding up the game by putting a time limit in between pitching, limiting trips by

managers to the pitching mound, etc.

But changing the nature of the game by putting someone on second base to start each half of every extra inning, for me that is a

bastardization of the game!!

For me one of the great things about baseball as opposed to other sports is that there is no time limit, and the game isn't over

until the last man is out.

In short I say live this great game alone.

If someone doesn't like the original format, then go watch some other sport that suits your fancy!!

Good news indeed, that's why I like NHL playoffs too, no shortcuts - each round best of 7 and 5 on 5 until sometime scores, the original way?

Pardon my ignorance but I just read over the new rules and I don't get what you stated here.

If you have time could you explain this a little bit more in detail.

Oh I was just saying how I agree that overtime/extra innings should be how they were originally intended - to go on as long as needed to break the tie.

Just saying that NHL playoffs are best because overtime is how it was originally intended, and same with MLB extra innings should not have new rules to bastardize the game - like you said I like to watch the whole game no matter how long it takes, I don't want changes to artificially shorten games.

Got it now-I must have been asleep to not understand it the first time!! lol

Thanks!!

I don't want to hog this thread too much but let me say that as a Six diehard since 1952(no typo), I can recall so many games that I was

either watching on tv or listening to the radio which went to extra-innings and being totally intrigued and mesmerized with all of

the strategy, suspense with the Sox and their opponents when the game was on the line many times on every pitch.

It was great and exciting when the Sox came up in the home half in extra innings with a chance to win it when the score was tied and

especially when they got men on base.

On the other hand, I experienced the opposite feeling in extra innings under the old rules when the Sox were on the road and the opposing

team had a chance to win it and worse when there was a man in scoring position.

The strategy involved both managers with the utilization of the pitching staff, pinch-hitting and so many other parts of the game which

made it the great game it come into play.

Sadly all that is gone now as the powers that be decided to cater to the wants and desires of the younger generation who can't

be bothered with stuff like this and who wants the game essentially to be over as quickly as possible after nine innings

have been completed.

Imo if the new generation doesn't like the old format and the game is tied after nine innings, then simply leave the ballpark or shut

off your tv or radio and go down something else.

For e what they did with the man on second rule is akin to one's ordering a fine steak in a highly rated restaurant and the chef decides

to screw around with it by adding some kind of ingredients which have no business being added because he has nothing better to do.

This is far from perfect analogy but I think the point is clear.

Actually the more I think about it, the more I think of better and more simple and well know expression to express my thoughts,

namely "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!

Here's a personal question for you, how can you stand to work at a place that allows people like SportsBookData to spew racist, anti-semitic hate on a daily basis. Not to mention the covid and vaccine lies and daily vocal support for Putin's genocide and crimes against humanity? Please review SportsBookData's posts of the last week and tell me you're ok with this.

LOL. Funny Stuff! Two idiots come into the new forum administrators post and whine about what SBD posts in his own thread, while being upvoted by fellow retard Savtard. If they dont like what he posts they could always not read them and quit trolling his thread. The only thing missing here is their girlfriend Wilbur, but it will probably be along soon to chime in. :lmao:
