Yeah, because he's on the court with LeBron. Jeff Green would be borderline to get into the Celtics rotation. And that's being generous.

When I say 5-6 of the best players in the series, I mean the actual caliber of the players. Not how they played in 1-2 games.

Better said, if you did a league-wide draft for the 2017-2018 NBA season based on the way guys have played, besides Love (who was hurt the final 2 games) the next 5-6 guys taken would be Celtics.

Are we talking about the same team? Terry Rozier, an old and slow Al Horford, rookie Tatum, second year player Brown and Morris? This same team?

What does years of service have to do with their caliber as players?

If you think they weren't a good team and any superstar player should easily beat them with a terrible supporting cast, then just say that.

A better way to put the question would be this, if Kevin Durant or Kobe Bryant changed places with Lebron James, do you think the Cavs win this series?

Year's of service could mean a guy is young and inexperienced or older and slower. Both could be true in some cases.

The Celts had one of the best defenses in the league this year. Tatum, Brown played like young, budding stars pretty much all playoffs. Al Horford has been rock solid all year. Smart is 1 of the better defensive guards in the league even if his offense is hot and cold.

I mean, if you think LeBron should easily win that and other guys that are considered to be lesser caliber than him would as well. Then why not just say that?

You either think it takes LeBron James playing great to win that series or you don't. My question is pretty cut and dry.

I think you are overvaluing this Celtics team based on their play against a weak Cleveland Cavs team. So yeah, it took LBJ playing well to beat a team that I don't think is that great to begin with and a team that would've been bounced early had they been out West.

I was gonna mention the Montana to Brady comparison but left it to basketball.

I also think Montana with 4 SB wins out of 4 appearances can't be duplicated, or should I say, its gonna be very hard w/o losing one.

Brady 5 SB wins out of 8 appearances & IMO, he lost twice to the most over rated Qb to ever win 2 SB's, & to a back up Qb Nick Foles.

If Brady & the Patriots would have went 19-0 & won the SB, would be a different story.

With Brady mainly losing to a back up Qb, IMO, & losing the undefeated season, Montana is #1, Brady #2

I wasn't even gonna bother w/ this 1 but might as well point out that Montana has lost 7 playoff games including games to such legendary QB's like Wade Wilson, Phil Simms, Jeff Hostetler and Joe Theismann.

Belichick used to beat his ass so bad that I doubt Montana would even make his top 5 if you were able to liquor him up and get him in a moment of true candor.

So would you expect other elite wing players like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant or Kawhi Leonard (or insert whoever else you want besides Jordan) to switch places with LeBron and beat the Celtics?

If you wouldn't then your basically saying it was an impressive feat of LeBron to do it if you don't think other guys would be expected to do so.

I think the Celts are a 50ish caliber win team with a great homecourt/coach. Probably somewhere around the 6th-8th best team in the league. For a team with an absolutely abysmal supporting cast to beat a team like that, the best player has to be pretty close to transcendent is what I am saying.

You think they would've won 50 this year without Irving and Hayward? I mean, probably with how bad the East is. Not sure what that has to do with anything?

Hayward played 3 minutes this year. Kyrie played 60 games and they won 55 for the season.

So I think most people would tell you 48-50 wins is a good average. They were 1 of the best defensive teams in the NBA and we all know Kyrie doesn't have much to do w/ that. Not to mention their young guys got better as the year goes on.

If you think you can just replace LeBron with other elite players and win that series then that's your opinion. That's the only answer you need to answer the question of if it was a very impressive win or not.

I think I've answered it. It doesn't impress me because I think the Celtics are overvalued.

Is there something LBJ did last night a guy like Durant couldn't have done?

So Durant wins that series? Ok, all you had to say.

You should've just said that 8 posts ago. That's all I asked.

I don't think he would, but it isn't something that I have the sway to set something like that up and can have them playing next week. I think the Cavs would've either lost last night or would've lost sometime in the last month.

I feel like Enfuego literally gets bored and is like "fuck it, I'll get on the RX and argue with some people." No matter what, always trying to advance the argument at all costs.

I thought you meant win the game last night? Series? Hell, don't know.

I said series 3 or 4 different times.

Game, series, etc would all be the same anyway answer anyways really. They're all derivatives of the value that a LeBron has vs other guys. If you think other great players would get it then that's fine. I disagree, I think this Cavs team isn't going to the finals with more than 1-2 other people that have ever walked this earth replacing LeBron.

We don't all have to be impressed by the same sports achievements but to answer your original question, I think it impressed people because they don't think many other guys could've been as successful over the last 1.5 months as LeBron has been with a team this deficient. If you disagree with that then it's fine, but that is where their adulation comes from.

LeBron plays against cupcakes.
Jordan days you had some great players.

LeBron takes out a Pacer team & Victor Oladipo is the star of the team...lol
Raptors...Demar DaRozen...lol
Celtics best player is a 20 year old Jason Tatum.

Jordan will always rule cheersgif

Why are guys playing with Lebron's balls after this win? He beat a team with two All Stars out with Terry Rozier starting at PG. I mean, come on.
8 straight finals appearances
the longevity and mileage is more impressive than anything else
hate on the level of competition all you want. Cs were still a 55 win team.
lebron just played the 100th game of this season and he isn't even in the finals yet
how is that not impressive?

it seems the jordan guys dont just put jordan above lebron but every player in that generation above everyone in this generation. the atheletes are better now and you cant deny that fact. ewing couldnt even play now. stockton would be rolled by over half the starting guards in the league. the generations are different but laughing at oladipo or derozan is laughable when you compare them to dan majerle and jeff hornacek. give credit where credit is due. he is an all time great and at a minimum the third best ever. (kobe, jordan, lebron). at some point you gotta watch a realize what he did was incredible. since when is a game 7 in boston easy? seems like the last 2 games did nothing for people even though you hold his reputation to each game and he performs. the guy is incredible and i think the league will suffer when he hangs them up similar to how when jordan left i stopped watching

If you are arguing he's great because of his stamina, I'm on board with you.

The C's quite possibly may have been bounced in the 1st round if they played in the West.
They probably would have done alright... as long as they didn't play the Pelicans @)
Most of the games W or L was only decided by a few pts.

1-1 vs Rockets
1-1 vs Warriors
2-0 vs Blazers
2-0 vs Thunder
1-1 vs Jazz
0-2 vs Pelicans
1-1 vs Spurs
