Scott Shaw, The Plain Dealer Cleveland's LeBron James (left) and Los Angeles' Kobe Bryant (right) have played 11 full games against each other, and James' Cavaliers have won eight. It's not just the fans and media who get caught up in the NBA's Great Debate:
Who's better, the Cleveland Cavaliers'
LeBron James or the Los Angeles Lakers'
Kobe Bryant?
Players and coaches are fans, too, and have their own back-and-forth about 2009 MVP James and 2008 MVP Bryant.
The
Indiana Pacers host Bryant's
Lakers tonight and James'
Cavs on Friday night. Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star got Indiana coach Jim O'Brien and Pacers' players to
compare James and Bryant from 1 to 5 - with 5 being excellent - in several categories, including:
Jump shot
Edge to Kobe, 5-4.
"This is no disrespect to LeBron, but Kobe is a pure shooter" -- Dahntay Jones
"LeBron can shoot it well, but he does it because they're like three feet off him when they defend him. You can be up on Kobe and he'll still make it." -- Danny Granger
"Kobe has the most consistent mid-range jumper. When they both have it going, though, I'd give it to LeBron." -- Brandon Rush
"I think Kobe has one of the best jump shots in the game." -- O'Brien
