LaTroy is a head case!
Not that it has much relevance to whether or not he's a good pitcher (he's not) but my favorite Hawk story is from the 2002 season, undoubtedly his best he's ever had. Hawkins managed to get ejected from a game he was not involved in IN THE THIRD INNING for lipping off to an umpire WHILE IN THE BULLPEN!
It was at the Metrodome, game against the Red Sox, and the ump (can't remember who it was, but it's one he had a run in or two with when he was with the Cubs as well) came down to the Twins bullpen between innings to ask the relievers to kindly move their chairs out of the field of play and closer to the wall. The other three or four coaches/pen catchers/pitchers obliged .... Hawkins screamed at the guy to go FUCK HIMSELF.
Probably not believing what he'd just heard, the ump turned back and you could almost see it in his body language: "What did you say? I couldn't possibly have heard you right."
Next thing you know Hawk is out of his chair up in this guy's grill screaming at him, needing to be restrained by several teammates and obviously got tossed.
The guy is mental.

One of the things I like to look for when betting bases is a bad bullpen. Since the linesmakers often make a line based upon the starting pitcher, you can get a good price fading the team with a good starting pitcher and a bad bullpen and that bullpen will bail you out.
Let's take a look at the Baltimore starting pitchers.
Lopez was getting +120 against Toronto (facing Chacin) and +100 against Seattle (facing Moyer) and lost both games.
Bedard was getting -105 against Toronto (facing Lilly) and -110 against Toronto yesterday (again facing Lilly) and lost both games.
Chen was getting +110 against Seattle (facing Hernandez) and lost.
So you can see you are getting some decent prices fading this team.
