i know what you mean but you can find another dog to drop big $$ on a double up or triple up in the future...they come around often...you just have to find the right one and pick your spots...if you really feel this is it then go with your gut...but my bet is that you can find one in any sport...you know your shit...its about survival over here...dont force something just to recoop the loses...you have to be patient....
