I had 15k in the bank when I was bartending BTW. I now have a career and have less money now than I did then....At least liquidity wise. Seriously Bartending tips were sick and you didn't ahve to claim much. I made 50k a year cash while bartending. It's not as bad as you may think... Also, when I was a bartender/server people thought i was an idiot. I loved stupid fucking people who thought I was an idiot because i was in the service industry. Alot of money can be made.

What is stupid is that he apparently is smart to save his money from working but then blows a huge chunk of it the last few days chasing his ass off.
So IF he really bet 15K tonight, then he's dumb.
If he lied and only bet 1.5K, then he's an idiot for lying.
Either way, he looks really bad.
That makes sense. I still feel bad for him though -- as maybe it wasn't 15K but it was a significant amount probably.
All/the majority of us had that first magical run where it seemed like we couldn't lose only to give it all back and then some in the coming weeks.
Just take this experience with you mk, and don't forget it. Controlling a habit as powerful as gambling can be is a hell of a thing and honestly - I've felt damn good telling myself "well at least I only lost $xx on that bullshit game". And once you can do that, I think you'll be in a very good place in life.
(And yes, I'm still working toward this goal myself...)
