will any casino check your luggage behind the desk if you don't want to carry it around and you are playing at their casino or whatever?

Tekari- Jump on those rates that they have going at the Golden Nugget. It's a nice hotel and those rates are a very good deal for a weekend. The buffet is excellent and the pool there is a buffet in it's own right. You'll pay that much or more to stay at a dumpy place on the strip. If you want to hit the strip you can just catch a CAT bus that goes up and down the strip. They run every 10 minutes or so.

A great site for booking Vegas is Travelaxe.com. You can download the software and enter your dates and it gives you the prices of all the major travel sites on the Internet. For Vegas you get about 12 rates including the best rate going at the hotel. This is some great software and saves some time. Another option is going to the website http://pub50.ezboard.com/blasvegastalk that is a board like this which has people that all they do is discuss going to Vegas. Often times they have promo codes for many hotels that give you great rates.

When I was your age I did the same and didn't sleep. Now I get 8 hours a night when I'm in Vegas.

If you can't afford $69 on the weekend you probably shouldn't be coming to Vegas! Nothing decent is available around Vegas on summer weekends for less than that other than if you get comped. That is about what Motel 6 or Travelodge charges and the GN is a very nice place, nothing like its neighbors.

Wild Bill:

Good point. Even if they want to go to all the joints that offer next to free coupons for pictures, 99 shrimp cocktails and 1.99 breakfast buffets, Vegas still costs money.

Staying in a quality hotel like the Nugget would go for about $150 night in any other US city.

I just have been to vegas before last time for a little over 2 days and I just didn't sleep the whole time. I dont plan on sleeping too much so it wasnt important for me to spend alot. I think I am gonna get somewhere close to the airport so that I can play poker at Mandalin Bay, Monte Carlo, orleans, etc. in that area as I have found them to be the best. I will take the bus up to fremont street on saturday and hangout with you guys the rest of the trip

look forward to meeting you all should be fun!
