For an extremely rare time I agree with you on this.

3. I disagree. I think it could be a world economic collapse. And when the dust settles, the USD might not be on top anymore.

If there's a world economic collapse, I'm not too sure anyone is going to care where the USD is when the dust settles.

It would be interesting to see how much China owns here. They are buying up city blocks in Detroit for spit, site unseen. I'm sure they were doing this in other depressed rust belt areas also.

There will definately be more civil unrest, possibly leading to a world war. Pandemics have wiped out dynasties thruout history.

Doesn't look like there's going to be any bargain basement hunting like some clowns predicted. Most other areas of the country are up also. 8 months into the pandemic. When is Armageddon happening again?

When I first saw this thread, I assumed it would be up 11% from some record low. But it's not, the article says prices are reaching record highs.

In CT, prices are surging as people abandon NYC. I'm guessing much the same is happening in LV. Maybe there's a mass exodus from LA and other CA cities. Vegas is an attractive alternative.

Yep, lots of flawed thinking on those that thought the housing in Vegas would crash hard. The biggest error of course is only focusing on the economy in the Las Vegas area. And the points the two of you brought up speak volumes. It truly looks like we are in a new normal with more remote working in the cards. My wife's corporate office has now pushed back until at least July as a return-to-work date. Many of her co-workers have gone to vacation spots they like, to work from there. She has spoken with people that work in high COL areas and they all say they are planning on getting away from expensive city centers and relocating. Vegas is a natural as an affordable alternative for people living in California cities.
