It was working 2 days ago (meaning I was getting delta data, but of course I have no way to verify the accuracy).

Yea, well being a programmer I always look a little deeper. So I loaded up our feed and when I would see an update I would use the last= argument, and lo-and-behold, the update wasnt there. When I would pull the whole file down without the last I would see the update. So it was a little buggy... hopefully you are right and they are just fixing that. Like I said before, the most important thing is that you get your feed back.

Dear Customers,

The web server hosting the XML feed was close to 100% CPU usage due to the abusive reading done by some people( ex. reading the XML feed 120 times in one minute). We started blocking IPs but soon realized we were fighting a losing battle. We had no choice but to take the feed down before it seriously affected our main web site.

During the night we have moved the feed to a new server: http://xml.pinnaclesports.com/xmlfeed.asp. This is a dedicate server. We will agressively monitor and block IPs of those who can't follow our usage guidlines which are included in the comments section of the XML feed.

Regards,
Pinnacle IT.

120 times a minute... thats pretty hard to do I would think. It is hard to get the page to load in less than 2 seconds even on a fast connection. As long as you got it fixed and its not affecting your site, all is good. You may want to look into the last= argument as I am not sure it is 100% perfect yet. If you got that working 100% the pulls on your site would be a lot less bandwidth.
