So someone can just sign people up for DK and make a deal with the site to get a % of losses (can't imagine DK would allow the person to be a partner in booking action)

Well agents traditionally get either a percentage of losses or book a percentage of the action so when you said agent I was asking what type of deal would he have since both of those seem far fetched and I wouldn't think states would allow.

How does he get paid then? Just gets a flat fee per signup or something?

And I didn't know they use recruiters or agents for sports betting, it isn't legal in MA (which is ironic given MA is DK's HQ)

Not trying to pry or anything but does he own a business that makes sense for DK to use for promotion? A bar the obvious 1 that comes to mind.

That would make sense to me that they are allowed to go into partnerships like that but just didn't think they could contract out recruiting to non-employees and pay them for it.
