and now that I think about it, teams that get crushed dont tend to cover much of any lines out there. Lakers covered the 1rst quarter, covered the 4rth quarter if you bet right after the 3rd quarter, covered the 2nd half ML and 2nd half -3.5. Hardly qualifies as a crushing.

We all have our opinions, althouh some moderators hate to permit them, and in my opinion, the lakers got crushed.

Is this an opinion or fact? I can honestly say I've never heard an announcer say something like that when a team is down by 2... but then, I have the volume turned up when I watch a game.

Lakers were crushed. I know where you are coming from. I had the same feeling. They were crushed.............didnt even come close to covering. That in my book.....means your are CRUSHED. Nuff said.

Who the hell really cares?? The game is over. Time to move on to game 6. Hopefully Lakers will get crushed on Monday nite. I doubt it though. The officiating is soo different when they play at home, and besides that we know that Stern wants the Lakers in the finals.

I agree with the consensus here, the Lakers did not get crushed. Crushed is by 15+ or more, the Lakers made a good run, but, too little too late.

actually I wound up staying off the game yesterday except for a Pizza money bet on the under...I posted that I thought your play at +252 was the right side, however, I coudnt bear to watch the game & hope for a Tampa victory so I just kept my money on the sidelines for this one...

ID, in the NBA they play 48 minutes...not 46 minutes....

i know ss - but i think that if a team crushes the other for 46 minutes, then the other team goes on a run the last two, and hits a 3 at the buzzer and STILL loses by 2...when they were favored by 2...they got CRUSHED.
